Macap was that duo;
their shtik would most often slay.
Bob Hope played the schmoe;
Bing had more cachet.

Bob couldn’t really sing,
But Bing got it right.
If Bob started caroling,
Bing looked at him in fright.

Bob could be a little snide,
but off each other they played great!

of the camera; Bing played straight
man to Bob, the Bozo,
and sometimes would deride
Bob in a tone quite light.
Sometimes he’d hurt Bob’s pride.

on Bob’s not getting not.

’cause their films grossed a lot.

for them..safe to say.

of Bing, the latter ’d sung.
When I watch them, I pay
heed to Bing, who seems meek
compared to Bob, who acts quite outré.
But Bing sings, also speaks.

into a chair and flicks-gaze.

might be ironic, but snide
is the role Bob sometimes plays.
