The Lyrics

OS: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=up8kcyLOfzM
They used to call him “Mr. Touchdown”;
they used to call him “Mr. T.”
He’d get sacked before he’d throw;
often his head would take many a blow.

Day after day that Mr. Touchdown
took the field in the football fray.
After playing all those years,
the brain that’s between his ears
started shutdown and decay.

They’re gonna call him “Mr. Struck-Down”
when he is struck with CTE.
Got concussions by the score;
Doc doped him up and said,
“Go play some more!”

Although he once was “Mr. Touchdown,”
that soubriquet has gone away.
All those hits over the years
will put him upon a bier.
You’re Mr. Struck-Down if you play.
