"Love Hard Soda"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

Just tried Henry's new hard soda for fun. It's actually quite refreshing and low on alcohol. The Walmart people, however, didn't like it that I drank a bottle in the store while shopping!
Love hard soda!
From bottle and not can.
Cold Henry's hard grape the newest in demand.
Quite a taste, a pleasant surprise.
Bought a case for $8.18!
6 bottle buy.
Love hard soda, when on a shopping spree.
Low (4.2%) alcohol in thee.
Love hard soda, Henry's: ginger, grape, orange, cherry!
Love hard soda, Henry's: ginger, grape, orange, cherry!
(It's not scary, will make you Merry!)

Looks like your pal Jonathan left you high & dry on this parody because even though it had his favorite topic of soda in it, it also had alcohol, so he avoided it! I don't believe this guy when it comes to choice. This guy thinks alcohol is a sin or at least is bad. Both are false. Our Lord and Savior drank wine and many of our heroes historically have drunk beer and/or strong hard alcohol. At least the guy should give it a try. Low alcohol content sodas are nothing to be afraid of and buying them is cheaper than the really hardcore stuff like Tequila, Vodka, and various Whiskey's. How can this so-called "man" from the South not drink alcohol? And I am equally curious about the OS. He doesn't know the Canadian anthem as excuse? He looks up other songs, so look it up, fool. I give this three fives.

I only drink socially, but now that the weather is back into the 70s already here in California, a cold hard soda every once in a while is refreshing. Jon has free will, he can do as he likes.

I have a variety of good reasons for not drinking alcohol, and the fact that I don't like the taste protects me from the temptation. For those who can handle it and enjoy it, you are lucky on both counts. Speaking of alcohol in general, and Jim Beam in particular, has anyone heard from Leough or Leo Keough recently?

Patrick, why do you also use the word temptation? It's just another beverage. Drinking a single wine cooler or hard soda isn't going to kill you or destroy your spirituality. It had never been a sin to drink, just to get drunk. I hate pills and never did recreational. Then I had to take prescription opioids of max strength. Is that a sin? No. Neither is owning an AK, AR, auto pistol, tac shotgun or sniper in .300-.338LM. I've had them all and more. I don't understand your acceptance of firearms juxtaposed against a harmless hard soda bottle with 4.2% alcoholic content you can barely taste.

Try Mike's Hard Lemonade this summer. It's cool and refreshing.

My reasons for refraining from alcohol are due to what is to me an unpleasant taste and feelings of disorientation which scare me. I never considered alcohol to be sinful or immoral. It's just not suitable for me. Same for eating pork, shellfish or cheese. Or coffee. I do have a history of alcoholism in my family and my maternal grandmother strongly preached against drinking. Other people have different backgrounds and customs. I enjoy guns, shooting, working on ones I can fix, and making strange ammunition. My brother hates guns and won't touch them. Never asked him why. I suspect he had a bad experience involving a gun. He drinks beer. Apparently he likes the taste or the effect. I don't. My cousin smokes a pipe. Figure that out? Buys a new handgun every month. I drink large quantities of sweet tea. That is temptation. Meaning, when I don't have any, I almost will drive at 11:00 pm to a convenience store to buy some. Until better sense overcomes my craving. I can only imagine if I had the same cravings for booze. I've seen a lot of people make fools of themselves while drinking, get sick, and endanger themselves and others. I've seen others who didn't. For me, it's not worth the risk, and my aversion to the taste assures that I will not have the desire to take that risk.
