Original Song Title:

"Jingle Bells (1857 Version)"

Original Performer:

Traditional

Parody Song Title:

"Xmas Hell"

Parody Written by:

Robert D. Arndt Jr.

The Lyrics

Caught on video
A Reaper's on the way
Scanning hills below
Flight by Nintendo-Jockey
Hellfires on this thing
Will lit up the night
Perfect platform for killing
Dread ISIS in a fight!

(Chorus)
Xmas hell, Xmas hell
Destruction on the way
In the open one cannot hide
From a drone during night or day

MQ-8 may be slow
But it's an awesome sight
FLIR and 360o arc
Gives Jihadists a bad fright
Better than plane or tank
It doesn't cost a lot*
It can dive and it can bank
And take million dollar shots!

(Chorus)

From Iraq ISIS must go
Bomb them all to hell
Strike precision blows
Highway runs don't turn out well
Allah's not on their side
Despite how much they pray
Because Islam is just a lie
And the Reapers come to slay!

(Chorus)

Now the ground is red
Bullseye hit in one!
Armor twisted, black
Bodies covered in dark blood
New Pegasus on the way
UCAV of high speed
It has a bomb bay
Will make ISIS die or simply want to leave

... the entire Middle East!!!

(Chorus)

Note: V1L6 should read Will light up the night. Another Spellchecker bad revision! I need to proof better... sigh...

Computer space is cheap these days. I find it much easier to read if you spell out the repeated chorus, rather than just noting (Chorus) at the appropriate spot.

Patrick, most viewers just skip over repeated chorus lyrics which only serve to make lengthy parodies purists love. I am not a strict purist and frequently modify lyrics and song architecture to suit my topics. This one is accurate, but as noted is the 1857 version. The error wasn't in the chorus either.

As a follow-up analogy, my Spellchecker is so zealous and predatory while I write that it is like German airfield gunners in 1945 that fired at anything approaching from the air- even their own aircraft on occasion. The Fw-190D-9 Doras that protected Me-262 jets on take-off and landing had to apply candystriping to their lower wings for identification purposes!!! So for me, I have to babysit the Spellchecker while writing and then proof afterwards. I miss small mistakes like others do.

Thanks as always Patrick and Jon! Btw Jon, did you miss my parody of Hall & Oates "Rich Girl" yesterday?
Jonathan - December 01, 2015 - Report this comment
^ apologies Rob "Rich Girl" is just about the only Hall & Oates song I don't care for so I typically avoid those parodies without even checking to see the author (no offense) perhaps I'll give it a look (after all I had to listen to "All About That Bass" ad nauseam to parody it I can take anything!)
