The Lyrics

This gets a bit confusing.. I thought of this after listening to The Wurzels version of the song.. but they leave the last verse out. The rather lovely Lacie Madison has also left a version on youtube, which does have all the verses (but doesn't start with a chorus). So the following is a bit of a mix of the two.
CHORUS:
Seven for bearded dwarf-lords
Three for the Elven kings
Nine for the mortals doomed to die
And one that's the ruling ring of power
One that's the ruling ring

The elven smiths of Eregion
Led by Celebrimbor
In their elven tower forged rings of power
Of their like we'll see no more
And Sauron came to help with the task
In the days when he was fair
And he made a ring with his magic in
The others to ensnare
Singin’

CHORUS

The Last Alliance of Elves and Men
Went to fight the Mordor foe
And Sauron's finger that held the ring
Was severed with a blow
But Isildur, he kept the ring
For to use to his own end
But was left instead on Anduin's bed
And was picked up by Smeagol's friend
Gollum!

CHORUS

Then Gollum's ring lost to riddling
Hobbit Bilbo was his name
Then t'was Frodo's turn the ring to return
To the fires where it was made
For the one dark ring will the others bring
To Orodruin high
And bind them all in the Land of Mor-
Dor where the Shadows lie
Preciousss!

CHORUS
