The Lyrics

After recent video clips showing schoolchildren performing Obama praise to patriotic tunes, I wrote this alternative for them. At least its words are closer to the original.
Mine eyes have seen the glory of the cunning Socialist;
He is trampling on the Constitution, Papers Fed'ralist.
He would noose the hateful right-wing talk-show heretics he's dissed.
His ruthless march is on.

REFRAIN:
Glory, glory, he'll renew some.
Worry, worry he will screw some.
He must hurry or he'll lose some.
His youths are marching on.

I have seen him snatch the powers of a hundred Senators.
He has willed that they not falter in believing, choose his course.
He can read each mighty sentence from a teleprompter source.
His gaze is arching yon.

[REFRAIN]

He has bounded forth by stumping at contrived town halls elite.
He is grifting out free markets when their takeover's complete.
O be swift and bold to counter him, be vigilant and fleet.
Our sod he's marching on.

[REFRAIN]

'Tis the duty of the billions to adore on bended knee
His life story and his wisdom that transcends ethnicity.
As he vies to take men's souls, he lectures why we evil be.
While lauding Marx, sing on.

[REFRAIN]
I'll bet no school board will adopt this, so teach it to your children at home.

My all time favorite song gets a stunning set of lyrics as our nation drifts slowly into a second Civil War. Very clever, and accurate. May I suggest that when writers are repeating a chorus, that they print it out. This will make it a lot smoother to read or sing along to. Great parody!

I'd change "takeover" to "forfeiture" to fit the OS better. Patrick: Thanks, I hope it's still a favorite. I economized on the refrain as in sheet music; if I vary the words I don't shortcut. You can copy/paste the text to DIY.

Five demagogues, rabble-rousers and rhetoraticians for this gem... there's more than a grain o' truth in yer sniperbole me thinks--and given your skill sets and dovetailing leanings, I'd love to see a BJR/OMR collaboration! (perhaps with TT refereeing, for fun!)

5s for the title switch alone... brilliant job on the verses. The only thing better would have been varied choruses, but the rest is so good, I'm not going to quibble. :D

Mine eyes have seen the glory of a "Bama Parody - nice write and hpefully, we won't have to be singing this someday.

Thanks, commenters/voters. Sorry I didn't match the -ord & -amps rhymes of stanzas 1 & 2. OMR: Can you parody "John Brown's Body"? TJC: Love your "sniperbole". Fg: My refrain already has more variation (glory, worry, hurry) than the OS had. TK: Sing and share it now so we won't regret later!

Another one I missed the first time. Wonderful job. TJC, I love the "sniperbole" too; wish I'd thought of it.
