Remember folks, no matter what happens, the USA has weathered many a storm, and we'll get out in one piece. Also, even if it's the government that's causing the problems, remember this: You have freedom of speech, use it! 1-In the Declaration of Independence, there is a portion that reads "...That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it...", which basically means that if a government attempts to violate such rights as Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness, then the people have the right to rebel against it.

2-Refers to the songs "Purple People Eater" by Sheb Wooley & "Surfin' Bird" by The Trashmen. Well, everybody's heard about the bird! B-b-b-bird bird bird, b-bird's the word...

Great job! I'll probably write my own take on this after Mt. Rainier erupts and buries parts of Seattle and most of its suburbs in naturally-occurring wet cement (known as a "lahar", Wiki it for more info) and/or after the next major terrorist attack. 5s.

liberal jerks are trying to take away our freedom of speech through crap like the fairness doctrine. you liberal pukes have 95% of printed and audio and visual media on your side. a handfull of talk radio programs are doing good so you wanna stop or limit it? is that freedom? no, you're afraid of the truth and wanna stomp it out. there in NOT FREEDOM OF SPEECH if liberals get thier way. instead of using great ideas to defeat or educate the public against talk radio ideals, you wanna stop the freedom to say it and choose, you wanna eliminate the optiopns. shame on you cowardly pukes

AWESOME song! and, Rob, did you even read the lyrics? It's all about being able to voice your opinion! There's a big difference between popular opinion (i.e. the current TOO politically correct, fear of dissent) and what the law allows. I live in the same house as Dylan, and I know for a fact that he listens and considers other points of view. Issue to issue, I vary between extremes, and Dylan is the least liberal person in this house. All of us earn the right to be vocal in our criticisms by showing up at the voting booth. We relish diversity as much as we sometimes ridicule the opinions it fosters, but we never forget to respect the fact that our criticisms won't earn us- or you- a firing squad. Sorry if that was too much political rhetoric for you, D!!
