"I Stepped on a Cat"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

This short song is known throughout the world, and is one of the first songs any piano player learns. In Finnish, it is known as Kissanpolkka (Cat's Polka); in Japanese as Neko Funjatta (I stepped on a cat). In German it is Der Flohwalzer (Flea Waltz); I don't know the English name, though. But I got the idea for the lyrics on the Japanese name.
Kitty slept on floor,
kitty slept on floor
Near the fireplace, her tail
next to door
I stepped on her tail
I stepped on her tail
Kitty screamed, and howled
and began to wail -

Kitty jumped and fled,
Kitty jumped and fled
I was scared as I thought I
trod her dead
Kitty looked at me,
kitty looked at me
"Oh you nasty Susy,
shame on thee!"
