Well, at least they didn't give you a fruitcake. BTW, great song! ;)

so vivid i gained 10 pounds just reading it

Thanks, SOTM! :), wow, I rarely get an SOTM! I'm so touched! And if I wanted a fruitcake, I would get one with "actual fruit"(i.e. apples, strawberries, blueberries, apricots, pears, etc.) instead of those artificial candied fruits...Thanks, Alvin! :), that goes double for me, especially that my sweet tooth kicks in yet again. The Turtle Bars are my favorite! Glad you enjoyed.

A tasty parody, indeed, Christie. Alvin, I had to check my teeth for any new cavities, too.

Great parody, Christie Marie. I am in the process of making fudge, cookies and figgy pudding, among other things, for my folks' Christmas Eve gathering. I hope I don't eat them all. 5s.

Thanks, Steve! :) Glad you enjoyed this tasty parody. I also hope you don't get cavities...Thanks, Andria! :) I so love fudge and cookies, but never tried figgy pudding. This may sound weird coming from me, but I like eating cookies when they are a little burnt. I thought it tastes good that way. Truth was, I was inspired by your Cream Cheese Danish parody that you wrote. Until then, Peace Out!!

Enjoyable...a plus in keeping the lady(fingers) and (Danish)rings motifs in place. :) Pacing was 100% on unlike most 12 Days parodies.

Christmasy food fun

Love your Christmas Menu, Sir ! No FruitCake? ? Stollen ? ? What, . . no Pecan Pie for that TexyGuy?
Christie Marie M - December 19, 2008 - Report this comment
Thanks, Agri! :) This is a very easy song to do a parody on. It's the only one that I didn't have to work extra hard on unlike most of my previous parodies. Pacing is always a plus for me. In regards to those 12 Days parodies, truth was I was surprised with some of the scores. There were some of them that I actually thought were good...Thanks, AFW! :) The joys of Christmas desserts! I enjoyed licking the batters of the cake and cookies when I was a kid on Christmas while my mom was baking. As a matter of fact, I still enjoy doing that!

Thanks, LilHollyDaisy! :) I'm a girl by the way, but that's OK! How would you like Fruitcake made with actual fruit, like the one I've mentioned on my first comment? I got Pecan Tarts on the menu, but I could make a Pecan Pie for your "TexyGuy"! Pleased to meet you. You are quite a princess with your fair and noble comments. I hope to see you around again!

Fun holiday song! I agree with agrimorfee on the pacing and all...and agree with everyone else that it makes me want to raid the dessert bar :)
Christie Marie M - December 19, 2008 - Report this comment
Thanks, Jeff! :) I knew you'd enjoy it! I am more than likely to raid the dessert bar! Baking cookies will always be an unforgettable Christmas moment! I especially love the turtle bars. They're my favorite. Thanks for reading.

I know it's a little early to comment a parody of a Christmas song, but this is making me hungry! I'll definitely sing this come Christmas time.
Christie Marie M - May 28, 2009 - Report this comment
Early thanks to you, DJ! :) This always comes to mind every Christmas season! I haven't done parodies in ages. I'm so glad you found me out, though! Well, I'm working on one right now. It's a Lady GaGa parody. Maybe you'll see it tomorrow or a few days, depending on when I get around to finishing it. Glad you enjoyed this parody! I'll see you around!

You're welcome, Christie. By the way, my real name is Caleb. I was thinking about parodying Lady Gaga as well. This time, it's about this bird that always wakes us up by pecking on the window. You might see it up after I do some Joga and Slipknot parodies. Au revoir!
