The Lyrics

Last year, November 2007, I submitted the semi-autobiographical "My Eye Is on My Waistline", http://www.amiright.com/parody/misc/traditional1465.shtml. This year I look at the same problem from the skinny angle (not autobiographical at all!). Same great apologies to the Man Upstairs.
Why should I weight just 90?
Why are my arms so thin?
Why do the pounds keep dropping
Like I’m thirteen again?
I eat a healthy dinner;
I feel too fat, so then,
My eye is on my waistline
As I reach the john again.

I heave because I’m pretty.
I heave because I’m thin.
My eye is on my waistline
As I lose my lunch again.

“You look like you’re a scarecrow,
Like Karen Carpenter!
You’ll die before you’re thirty.
You’ll end up just like her.”
My friends would feed me chicken
And buttered toast with jam.
My eye is on my waistline
As right to the john I scram.

I heave because I’m frightened.
I heave because I’m thin.
My eye is on my waistline
As I lose my lunch again.

Whenever food does tempt me,
I buy a magazine
Where everyone’s Size Zero
As if they’re still pre-teen.
A Junior Miss I’m staying;
That’s what the world demands!
My eye is on my waistline;
On the toilet rim, my hands.

I heave because I’m trendy.
I heave to stay a girl!
My eye is on my waistline.
Now excuse me as I hurl.
