The Lyrics

I hear a Chuck E. Cheese Symphony tonight
A restaurant concept so neat
Beg and plead to Mommy til you cry
It's world renowned, at least one in every suburb town
You know, the one that serves you all the pizza with all the games, neat yeah

Got change? Mom, got change?
Yoiu got change? You got chnge?
Gotta play Whack-A-Mole
Gotta play Whack-A-Mole
To earn a million different coupons
To redeem next visit
I need change from Mom
Oh no, no, no no...

Well, I never play
And some kid just kicked my knees, ow!
A cacophany of sounds that make a big headache for me, yow!
Let these little punks whine, I go out of my head, want to leave now
But the bathrooms are clean and it lets their untapped energy out

Got change? Mom, got change?
You got change? You got change?
Wanna play Whack-A-Mole
Gotta play Whack-A-Mole
I got a million different tickets
To redeem next visit
Gotta Whack-A-Mole, oh no, no no no!
You got change?
Gotta whack it!

And it's a Chuck E. Cheese Symphony tonight
Cheezy puppet heads greet
Singing some rock melody, they they die
It's world renowned, at least one in each suburb town
Another one of those kitschy food places
Where little kids bleat, yeah

Sorry, don't have change, have no change
Dont' have change, don't have change
You can't Whack-A-Mole
No more Whack-A-Mole
I've spent a hundred dollars on this day for you, brat
Bank now in the hole
No, no, no

Can I play Skeeball?
go, go, go, go, go
Can't get change
Won't change my money!
Go, go, go

(It's videogame violence, crap pizza and sirens!)
It's world renowned, at least one in each suburb town
Ever been down?
Ever been down?
Ever been down?
Ever been down?
But there, you'd never frown
But there, you'd never frown

555, the last time I was there was around 2000, too much noise and too many kids, I only enjoyed it when I was younger(although whenever I went it was for someone else's kids).

Man, I miss Showbiz (CEC's predecessor)! And for that matter, the CEC of yore (neither of these places were the "glorified" makeshift daycare centers they are today).

Well done. I went to one as a kid and I just cringe looking back now.

Dear wtf?---The ones vote I think is from a certain author who thinks that I am responsible for his parody being booted from the site. C'est la vie.

Hmm, sorry I missed this on Agrimorfee. I had forgotten much about CEC but this reminded of all those repressed memories, including (how could I forget?) the animated rock puppet things. Even when I was 8 years old I thought their pizzas sucked. 5 tokens.

I've been there once, bad pizza, annoying singing rats, tubes that you bump your head on every single freaking time, and games that were always Out of Order... and if you got tickets the prizes you got fell apart on the ride home... I have utmost Chuck E. Cheese Sympathy, for you

SOTM - There's no guarantee that it will still be there when you (whoever you are) read this, but I found the original song here:

(SOTM) Good parody, agri. Yea, that must be the noisiest place I know.

(SOTM) Interesting concept...the OS is one of my favorite songs ever, but I never, ever imagined it like this! Sorry Agri, had to dock you on pacing for a couple of lines.

SOTM-Pretty good.

(SOTM) I had trouble pacing this one, but most of the songs in this contest are all DKTOS to me so I have to spend a lot of time searching or TOS'. Again, due to my Aussie-ness, I haven't been to a Chuck E. Cheese, but this parody describes it to me very well, so thanks for that.

(SOTM) I came very close to submitting my parody of this OS for SOTM this month. That would have been weird. Anyways, what I said above and the "Got change? Mom, got change?..." lines were a great fit to TOS and to the topic. For those who have never been to a Chuck E Cheese, this parody nails what it's like.
Confission - February 11, 2006 - Report this comment
(SOTM) excellent. i've only been there once, and it was great! but that was years ago. the secret to whack-a-mole is to gather up 5 of your friends and perform a little bit of gang violence on the mole. forget the nice cushiony bats that are provided; come prepared with real bats. that mole will consider quitting his job at chuck e cheese
wannabemustangjockey - February 24, 2006 - Report this comment
(SOTM) Yes, I wonder how much those people in the costumes get paid to deal with little brat kids all day. Many of us would go postal after a week. Or less.

(SOTM) I've actually been to one of those very, very DISTURBING places, so I can relate.
Phil Alexander - February 27, 2006 - Report this comment
Never even heard of "Chuck E Cheese"... thank heavens ;-)

I used to go to Chuck E. Cheese a lot when I was a kid, and this was a really good parody about it.
