Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

Egg, yung fu,
Written on the menu.
Lunch time crew,
Lunch on Forbes a-ven-ue.

Meat of stew don't expect to a chew here at Chin's,
But egg of that yung fu I do so long,
So bring it out here Nguyen. [1]
Want to grease my chin.

Egg, yung fu,
Wrote it on the beer-oh.
Said, Wong Tsu,
Dis one cook on grirr-ow.

One more thing, before you bring it have them fry it in soys,
And just before they stew it, if you please they would,
Add some sauce of Kois.

Lunch at Fu's,
Not a lot like Shogun's.
Won Ton too,
Beg your pardon, want one.

One more thing, before you bring it have them fry it in soys,
And just before they stew it, if you please they would,
Add some sauce of Kois.

Egg, yung fu...

(Lunch fades out - Back to work)

[1] Nguyen - South East Asian surname, pronounced Wynn.

A parody about egg foo young. Wish I'd thought of that... Considering this is Halloween, maybe you should've written one about a werewolf ordering beef chow mein.

Great word play, esp. with the Chinese. TT knew the Nguyen pronunciation from watching poker on TV (TV is so educational!)! All the Nguyens want to nguyen. Choose a Five from column (a), a Five from column (b), and a Five from column (c).

Two restaurants: one a gaudy Greek palace, one a humble Chinese cafe. Every day, the well assimilated Greek owner greets the recently emigrated Chinese owner: "Hey Chu, what's on the menu?" Replies Chu: "Ah, so, flied lice," to which the Greek breaks out in laughter. The unsuspecting Chinese laughs along with him. This goes on day after day until the Chinese's Harvard-educated son comes home for a visit and witnesses the exchange. He explains to his father that he is being ridiculed and teaches him to say "fried rice" in perfect Received Standard English. Next day, the Greek poses the question about the menu. The Chinese smiles and replies, "Fried rice, you fluckin' Gleek."

MP -Thanks, I wish I'd thought about the werewolf. I think I ate werewolf once in Korea or at least it was weredog. The meat I ate there had quite a bite to it. TT - So glad you think this is a Nguyener! John - Nice joke but the version I heard the Chinese guy ran a laundry. Still funny! AFW - Thanks and don't forget your fortune cookie. alvin - I liked the Kois part too - It was a bit coy, no? Kristof - You know why we don't go to war with China? Because an hour later we'd just want to go to war again. Thanks all who commented, read and enjoyed this parody.
