"Nothing's Gonna Change My Love for You"
Misheard Lyrics: You don't have to change the thing.
I love you, Jazz is the way you are. So come with me and share the view. I'll help you see forever too. Hold me now, torch me now. I don't want to live without you. Nothing do not change my love for you. Original Lyrics: You don't have to change a thing.
I love you just the way you are. So come with me and share the view. I'll help you see forever too. Hold me now, touch me now. I don't want to live without you. Nothing's gonna change my love for you. |
Story about this misheard lyric by: Wisnu Aji This song was covered in 1987 by Glenn Medeiros, with some modification on the song's structure. The mondegreen is for the original version. Thus, George himself who for the first time recording this song was more well known as a Jazz singer rather than a Rock singer although it was a Soft Rock power ballad. It also for the first time that I hear on the radio for the original version. Now, I know the original lyric and performer who performing the original version of this song and didn't hear the misheard lyric again although at that time I don't know who performing that version. About this song: "Nothing's Gonna Change My Love for You" is track #4 on his album, "20/20", released on 7 January 1985. It was written by Michael Masser and Gerry Goffin. Although it was just released in Germany, the success of this song was revived by Glenn Medeiros with topping the UK Singles Chart, reaching #12 on Billboard's Pop Chart, and entering the Top 20 internationally. Making it Glenn's biggest hit single to date. |
