The Funny Lyrics: I had some dreams, they were clouds in my coffee
Clouds in my coffee Why They're Funny: I believe they are actually called steam. Perhaps she wanted to be a little more creative in describing them? Okay...whatever...

The Funny Lyrics: You're so vain
You probably think this song is about you Why They're Funny: This one really warps my head. The vain person thinks the song is about himself... and he's right!!

The Repetitive Lyrics: You're so vain
You probably think this song is about you Don't you? Don't you? Why They're Repetitive: I've counted how many times Simon says 'Don't you' in this song and its about ten or eleven times. I couldn't imagine walking to a guy at a bar and saying, 'You think this song is about you? Don't you? Don't you? Don't you?'

"You're So Vain"
The Nonsensical Lyrics: I had some dreams; they were clouds in my coffee.
Why They're Nonsensical: Dreams are hallucinations in one's brain (when one is asleep). They are not clouds in any beverage.

The Nonsensical Lyrics: You say you want to come back again some day
Darling here's what I say: la-di-da-di-da Why They're Nonsensical: Oooooh! Feisty! That's going to show him, Carly, isn't it?? I bet he'll be crying traumatically for days after you dared to say 'la-di-da-di-da' to him! What an absolutely corny excuse for a bridge. If you got nothing to say...as Ronan Keating philosophized: 'you say it best when you say nothing at all'...

"You're So Vain"
The Insincere Lyrics: You're so vain,
I guess you think this song is about you Why They're Insincere: Um, if this song isn't about who she is singing to, then who could it possibly be about? So, if this person thinks it is about them, they would be merely observant, not vain.

The Insincere Lyrics: Jesse, I won't cut fresh flowers for you.
Why They're Insincere: Of course she's being insincere. Later in the song, she renigs on everything she sang at the beginning.

| "Nobody Does It Better"
The Inappropriate Lyrics: I wasn't looking, but somehow you found me,
I tried to hide from your love light. But like heaven above me, the spy who loved me, Keeping all my secrets safe tonight. Why They're Inappropriate: Ok, so it's kinda compulsory to have the film title for any James Bond flick in the soundtrack, but this one just gets stuck in the middle for no apparent reason. Make me giggle every time. Great tune though!

"You're so Vain"
The Lyrics: I bet you think this song is about you, don't you?
Why: Tag questions like "don't you?" have to occur at the end of questions. "I bet you think this song is about you" is a statement, not a question and so "don't you?" can't occur after it. The lyrics grammatically correct would be "You think this song is about you, don't you?" or "I bet you think this song is about you." with no "don't you?" at the end.

"You're So Vain"
The Lyrics: Well, I hear you went up to Saratoga,
And your horse naturally won. Then you flew your Lear Jet up to Nova Scotia To see a total eclipse of the Sun. Why: First probably refers to Saratoga Springs, New York, a major horse-racing site. Then refers to the Canadian province of Nova Scotia. Parts of it were in the path of an actual total solar eclipse in 1972. And then there's the Sun, if we can count real places out of this world.
