Parody Song Title:

"Crab Diner"

Parody Written by:

Alvin Rhodes

The Lyrics

crab diner
stinky kind of place
a joint to get those beasts shoved in your face
they carry those crustaceans by the case
crab diner
stinky kind of place

crab diner
to the pier, folks flock
it smells just like the bait shop on the dock
though looking weird, the taste is hard to knock
crab diner
to the pier, folks flock

crab diner
multi-legged things
they look so big when first the waiter brings
but most of it, back on your plate, you fling
crab diner
multi-legged things

crab diner
eating's them's a chore
you have to really work to reach the core
you nibble on the tiny bits you tore
crab diner
eating them's a chore

crab diner
leave that place alone
there's lots of other places you can roam
better yet, just cook your crabs at home
crab diner
leave that place alone

I liked this. Shame crabs are cooked live though. Poor things!

I go to NICK's at RockawayBeach in Pacifica every month, to get my hot crab sandwich, with eggplant tempura strips on the side, please!

I've never had crabs, er, well, I mean to say I've never eaten them...Leslie Neilson made 'em funny, in his movie...looks like a lot of work for little treats...funny parody, that also gives good advice.

Oh sir, it truly is divine . . . I let someone else bend the legs & crack the shells ! it's worth the $20.

"but most of it, back on your plate, you fling": and hence why I rarely go crabbing anymore... that and all the posted signs in the water. King or snow crabs are worth the effort though. Nicely done, alvin.

Alvin - They are such a chore to eat - I lived near Cheasapeak Bay a few years back and the blue crab was king there. The best place tI found to catch them was from a dock at the Naval Academy in Annapolis. And you really work for a meal. One could starve to death eating these things. Great take on an old classic.
