Parody Song Title:

"Mr. Ed McMahon"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

A tribute to Ed McMahon who died yesterday at age 86
I'm here to express remorse, remorse
For a great Mister Ed, but not the horse,
Sad news from the California shores,
He has passed on, Ed McMahon..

On the old Tonight Show, he graced the floors
Then hosted "Star Seach" that could open doors
And flew fighter planes in the Air Force
Mister Ed McMahon

Many years..for five nights a week.."Here's Johnny"
He would say
The perfect foil he'd always be
To Johnny's skit cornball play..

His passing's the source of much remorse
Now all of his fans could not feel worse
Our prayers go out to wife, Pam, of course
And all of his kids,
We'll miss you, Ed McMahon

We'll miss you, Ed McMahon

What Mark said, as well as the fact that I will miss his "Publisher's Clearing House" sweepstakes commercials (I enter every year, but I never get someone at my door with balloons and a giant check) and that the world of comedy won't be the same without him. Heeeee're's some more 5s!

Sad day indeed. I will remember him more for his work with Weird Al (on Running with Scissors multimedia files), Star Search and TV's Bloopers and Practical Jokes, since I was too young to stay up and watch Carson. Even with his recent financial woes, he was the consummate entertainer. Second time in as many days, but... a 5 is a 5, of course, of course.

He and Johnny just made the Tonight show - thanks for the memory and excuse me for using Bob Hope's theme.

Thanks, all...yeah, ...and like some guests made Johnny better...sometimes Ed made him better, too

A truly touching and funny parody tribute to this television legend. Ranks up there with Weird Al's own 1980's salute, "Here's Johnny" (from his 'Polka Party' album).

R.I.P Ed McMahon. Ed McMahon is the funniest person I've ever known. As a child I used to watch him in Star Search and The Bloopers Show. He will be missed! I echo all comments above! I will pay my respects with 5's for sentiment and condolences!
