"Evac from Libya"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

Evac from Libya, startin' to-day
My, oh my, trouble comin' that way
Plenty of fightin' headin' that way
Evac from Libya, no sec-cur-i-tay

Insurgents getting bolder
It's the truth, it's actual
CIA info was not factual

Evac from Libya, far, far away
Worrisome feeling, Yanks cannot stay, for sure!

Evac from Libya, startin' to-day
My, oh my, trouble comin' that way
Plenty of fightin' headin' that way
Evac from Libya, no sec-cur-i-tay

Evacuation under orders
It's the truth, it's actual
O's assurances are not factual
Evac from Libya, without delay
Worrisome feeling, US could pay

Convoy protected by Predators
Two F-16s, for battle... huh?
Warship offshore a third? MV-22s?
Terror threat is crit-i-cal

Evac from Libya, without delay
Worrisome feeling, US could pay
Left the compound, many do pray
Libya's a lost cause, don't care what O' say

Good parody about an act of good ol' sense. Remember the Iran hostage crisis of 1979 - 1981? Also in 1989 when Manuel Noreiga of Panama said that his country and the USA were in a state of war, the USA had the Canal Zone and memories of the Iran crisis were still fresh so the USA invaded Panama. However, in this case Libya doesn't have a strong government and since Khadaffi got ousted there's been a lot of cuckoo groups that emerged from underneath the rock of his rule. It's a situation that America couldn't win so they left. But your parody wins, hands down!

I feel bad b/c all the celebrations concerning overthrowing the dictators or killing terrorists during the Obama Administration are now over. All that does is create a power vacuum and instability. In the end, all the enemies of America and the West dominate in Libya, Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, Iran, N Korea, Ukraine, and other hot spots. It might have been better to deal with tyrants periodically than to see regions of the world engulfed in anarchy and terror. The few gains we made are now all reversals. Seems no one knows how to fight war anymore. Libya is a lost cause and so is the ME. And the US has no money to fight and occupy these nations that resent us even when we help them!!!

So the US is leaving Libya? Totally? I have not seen anything about this in Swedish media yet.

No, the American Embassy was evacuated and could not use the Tripoli Airport b/c it has been hit and cratered. Had to take a convoy under protection of the air and ship assets listed in the parody. Will we return? Probably when fighting dies down but it is a lost cause.
