With the launch of the N Korean Unha-3 rocket expected anytime within the lauch window that opened on Thursday (the rocket is fueled), the West and East will be monitoring its flight pattern and attempting to guage its capabilities as a potential ICBM carrying a nuke warhead in the future. The Unha-3 liquid-fueled rocket is about 100 ft tall and weights 88 tons. It can carry approx. up to a 1 ton payload which would mean a significant MT weapon. What Pyongyang is doing is playing a game of deception with the entire weather satellite cover story. That puny 1960s tech payload is nothing. What is being tested is the delivery system that will have the capability to reach Alaska and Hawaii as well as Japan and N Korea's neighbors, escalating tensions at a time when N Korea promised to back down on nuke developments for food. Lie after lie, the West and East are not buying it. The Japanese have Patriot missiles in place to shoot down anything that passes over its territory and the US will be watching it too. Obvously, N Korea got both Chinese and Russian tech to develop this type of 3-stage delivery system, so all eyes are on its historic launch.
