The Lyrics

My 1800th parody deals with the movie "Retroactive" (1997)- a time travel gem starring 6 basic characters: Evil Frank (James Belushi as a bad guy), his abused girlfriend Rayanne, a former Chicago PD psychologist Karen (Kylie Travis), a state trooper, Rayanne's Mexican lover, and another bad guy Sam (Frank's contraband buyer). A summary of the plot: When Karen as hostage negotiator fails in Chicago and hostages are killed, she resigns and decides to go back home to Texas. On the way, she has an accident on the Hwy and needs a ride. Frank and Rayanne come along in a gold Caddy and pick her up. Right away Karen knows Frank and Rayanne are in an abusive dysfunctional relationship and that Frank is a psychopath with a temper. A simple argument turns into a homicide with Karen running for her life to an isolated facility that has a time machine experiment in progress. Karen gets sent back 20 mins with total recall of what is going to happen. So she tries to alter history by making a move... but that only makes things worse as 3 people die this time and she again runs back to the science facility. The second jumps results in an even higher body count of 7 and Frank is still alive and intent to kill Karen. The 3rd jump of 60 mins blows the time machine but gives Karen enough time to give a warning and set the right events in motion to kill Frank. Right now, this movie is on Xfinity VOD and I bought it for cheap on Amazon. The sci-fi element is secondary to the action which is intense at times and Kylie Travis is awesome (a rougher form of Katherine Heigl).
Yeah, Frank wants to kill you
every time

Karen’s ordeal she must live through
It’s upsettin’
This “time re-settin’”

Bad Frank can’t handle it
Strange events goin’ down
Time changes deadly
Each time increases the body count

[Karen, perplexed, must figure it out]

Yeah, Frank wants to kill you
every time
He’s slime

Retro use
Retro use
Retro use
Mass-accel time machine
Subject aware
Of alt-reality
Must stop killings

[Karen’s willing]

She succeeds
Yeah, Frank wants to kill you
Every time
(3rd jump to Rayanne serves warning)
