555-no (pit) bull! I would have blamed the Irish though who during the Industrial Revolution had nothing better to do in Great Britain than to fight these dogs thus changing the breed's temperament for generations. Now all that aggression has to bred out. Btw, the pit bull is NOT the most aggressive breed, the SDD (Serbian Defense Dog) is and the pit bull's jaw pressure is impressive... but not compared to a Hyena's nor Tasmanian Devil's!!! Pit bulls that fight muzzled and de-clawed bears do not impress me either. The poor breed is just villified to death much like wolves, foxes, bats, and snakes- all part of God's creation. Also, I 5'd you on the gun parody yesterday but did not comment b/c I love guns and am highly biased being German. Could care less about the NRA and 2nd Amendment nonsense. In the 19th century alone Germany had the Dreyse Needle Gun, the first good Mauser rifles, the C-96 and various other auto-loading pistols. Then followed a ton of excellent weapons from the Luger to today's HK, Walther, Mauser, Korth, and Rheinmetall weapons on land. air, and sea.

Friend of mine has a pit bull mix. Lays on the floor of his shop. People of all ages, races, temperaments step over him all day long. Never barks or bites at anyone except my friend, who likes to wrestle with him. Didn't know it was the Irish who bred meanness into pit bull dogs. I have a deep, abiding fear of large breed dogs, don't trust any of them, even ones I know fairly well. Horses, not scared of at all. Just dogs.
