Original Performer:

Parody Song Title:

"Hooray For Clint Eastwood"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

Hooray for Clint Eastwood
Director, Star, Producer, Clint Eastwood
Debuted on old tv, a show called, "Rawhide"
Cowboy, we saw ride
And shoot, he played Rowdy Yates
He paid his dues there
Got good reviews there
Moved to feature films,
Mingled with the Greats

Hooray for Clint Eastwood
Turned out terrific, rose beyond just good
When in the acting game
He made his best turns,
Spaghetti Westerns
And showed critics that he could
Gambled and took a chance
Won at that spanish dance,
Hooray for Clint Eastwood

Hooray for Clint Eastwood
No phony, fake baloney, Clint Eastwood
Moved on to "Dirty Harry
"The Enforcer"
A tough role, coarser.
Than in "Play Misty For Me"
"Thun-derbolt - Lightfoot"
Put forth the right foot,
Became the Mayor,
"Carmel-By-The-Sea"

Hooray for Clint Eastwood
A lot of ups and downs,
In life withstood
Of Oscars, high awards,
The benefactor..
Director, Actor
But made that ape, Clyde, look good
When at the "Repub" scrimmage
He went and blew his image
Talking to chairs - no good

For that, boo Clint Eastwood

AFW...You should be writing for Hollywood..Hey, I heard this from a friend..Rumor has it .. that the chair was at a party at Clints home doing impersonations and Clint asked him as a favor to join him at the convention and do a little for them, but lo and behold - the chair just sat there ,froze with stage fright...Being the nice guy that Clint is , he did his best not to embarass the chair and winged it by himself....and taking undeserved heat by the critics afterwards...The where abouts of the chair is not known but rumor has it that he's in therapy... but still hasn't said a word to anybody. He just looks out the window by his kitchen table all day and night and doesn't make a sound ..You have to be a tough cookie when you're in show biz, guess he wasn't cut out for it............

Thanks, OMR....and thanks, Dave...,,(Great story).that wood sound like a reasonable explanation....So i guess, Clint, not Sinatra, becomes the new Chair man of the bored..

Yeah, that chair thing was a bad step, so to speak.

As much as I love watching his classic cool scenes and laconic quotes, I always felt he was an overrated actor, though an iconic one, and slightly less-than-inspired director, though a competent one. No phony, fake baloney? How about any one of his gun duels and fistfights?
Still and all, I like Clint in a mythic Hollywood kind of way despite the metaphysical overtones of the Man with No Name. Yeah, yeah, I know, lighten up, L-L.
A fond little biog which brings back fond memories of movie moments. You wisely omitted 'Paint Your Wagon' ... Was that 555s or 666s? In my ranting confusion I kinda lost count.
