The Lyrics

Part of my "Cut the Flowers" self-challenge. The final part, in fact (not including the supplemental)! And now that the title has likely made that one scene from Monty Python and the Holy Grail play in your head in its entirety, here's a parody about how I wish that'd stop.
Black Knight, everyone knows your lot
No point in lookin' up the whole transcript 'cause it's hard to stop
When just one line gets said, the whole damn dialogue's comin' next
Please save me, save me from this single scene, 'causin' me to twitch

We all know 'bout the Black Knight, he looks legit
It's a comedy, he looks like a threat
Kill you with one slash of the sword he swings
Prob'bly in the time that it takes to blink, yeah, you
You know he loves to fight, looks legitimately mean
Only backs his looks up 'gainst the knight in green

But then the Black Knight completely fails to stop
King Arthur, though that is to be expected, that ain't a shock
Since he's the main protagonist and it's Act One of the flick
Bit crazy, crazy if he doesn't breeze through the first conflict
He's gonna beat the Black Knight (Black Knight)
How will he beat the Black Knight (Black Knight)?

Straight decimates the Black Knight, no death because
That wouldn't quite bring in the yucks
Right through the armour, king's sword was swung
And yet still he has his lines that will get brought up online
Whenever a photo of someone missin' limbs
Or gone through other kinds of awful accidents

They'll quote the Black Knight, don't think they'll ever stop
It's "just a flesh wound" this and "'tis but a scratch" that when they're not
Postin' a YouTube link to the whole damn scene or just a gif
It's lazy, lazy, still far better than a whole chain of gits
Who re-enact the Black Knight scene with each sep'rate putz
Postin' one line and lettin' someone else pick the baton up
There's quite a wide array of media where folks lose their limbs
So maybe, maybe ref'rence them for once, let this bastard rest
I'm so sick of the Black Knight (Black Knight)
Yes, I laugh at the Black Knight (Black Knight)
But only when I'm watchin' the whole movie, maybe the clip
Just spare me, spare me from the overdose of cheap ref'rences
I'll go mad like the Black Knight (Black Knight)
The total loony Black Knight (Black Knight)

Kinda fitting that a parody about a scene that's outstayed its welcome is set to a song that REALLY outstayed its welcome.

To be honest I thought it was going to be about a certain mysterious object that was seen orbiting the Earth. Still good work.

Don't really follow space news, so that'd explain why it wasn't on my radar (ha). Thanks for the comment, though!
