Around the year I proposed marriage, TOS was popular. She is 3 years and 129 days my junior, and that seemed right then; girls mature sooner than boys. But women tend to live (and stay active) longer than men; so reflecting on many years together, I need to revise those lyrics.

I'm my wife's companion 'cause she'll never grow old.
I love her so much, but she just won't grow old.
To grandboys [1] she's giving, and she's never a scold.
She's hot to stay young till the day she grows cold.

People who are "only" can be told to say "I do";
I'm glad it happened to me when and where it happened to you. [2]

I'm my wife's companion and it's sure taken hold.
Our life will unfold as our hair will show gold. [3]
Love and youth and happiness were ours through days untold.
Been my wife's companion and I've never grown mold.

I know someone who's lonely can feel old at sixty-three.
No one wants to see - old at sixty-three;

Quite a romantic and touching tribute to your other half, Barry....good original song to personalize it to, also..sort of like renewing your vows in a parody...

Listened to the OS the first time and loved it, although this song was released before my time. Well, this song will never get old and neither will your wife...or your parody...our yourself! My mom's 2 and a half years older than my dad, who'll be 60 in November. And they're alive and kicking and young for their ages. I agree with AFW that it's a romantic and touching tribute to your other half and also about renewing vows. Hope you'll have 555 more golden years together. LOL!!
