The Lyrics

More than 1000 dead birds fell from the sky on New Years Eve in Arkansas...and then, again, in Louisiana
Blackbirds, blackbirds
Fall dead from the sky
Clutter up a town..
Blackbirds, blackbirds,
Was it tornado's eye,
That plunged you earthward bound?

Strangely, it happened
On New Years Eve
Phenomenon, so hard to believe
Blackbirds, blackbirds.
What is the reason why,
You are all falling down?

Oh my good..ness, look here, Maw
Dead birds fall..Arkansas
Bye bye blackbirds..

Nothing ev..er stranger than
Fell again..Louisian..
Bye bye blackbirds..

No one could explain just how it happened
Thank God, there was not a lot of crappin'

There must be..a reason, though,
Revenge of..Edgar Poe..?
Blackbirds, bye bye

Maybe they..were liberals
Rejected..by seagulls..
Bye bye blackbirds..

Could it be..alien tricks,
Or shock from..Tom Cruise flicks?
Bye bye blackbirds..

Bird experts can't really understand it
Do you think some terrorists have planned it?

If they still..fall from the skies
Panic not..just bake pies
Blackbirds, bye byes

Blackbirds, bye byes

I stand for everything nature related, and I heard of this, and it's a real shocker! Not to inspire any ideas, but sometime someone may do another parody of "Raindrops Are Falling On My Head" to "Blackbirds Are Dropping Oh My Dead!" Hmm... sounds like one I'd do! LOL! But your parody is excellent, I think it may be the first one done about a sudden freak event of nature, I'm not sure, but I give it a 555! ;-)

A "raven" good parody that considers several possible "cawses" and ends with "food for thought"! ;=) 5s

AFW - I'm not suprised that you knew the verse...VERY few people do. Nice commentary on the first of a series of unexplained events. Another possible parody could use the tune of Redwing. ;D

That was one CREEPY event, but one CREATIVE parody! I'd release doves in tribute, but I'm afraid they'll just drop dead.....
