Grifters rejoice in stings
of victims that willingly kiss their rings,
rings as worn at the school called “Liberty”,
where much deployed are lies,
lies used for money-pries.
They’ll take down their clowns in a robbery
shrouded in holy words;
in reality, a con job.
Because the true goal of these faux preachers
is a conned mob.
After lies have begun,
they will be seeking ever larger sums.

Gold in the name of God,
sub-rosa winks and nods.
Behind victims’ backs, voices are quite snide.
These “preachers” are deadbeats
whose motive is to cheat
parishioners and take them for a ride.
Blathering in the gathering place,
beneath the rafters,
is flock of bleating sheep
to be fleeced by the grafters.
These stooges give their cash
to preachers that tongue-lash
them to release funds for ill-gotten cache.

Robbed, yet there are no tears
from dupes that are not clear
that they are getting played on each Sunday…
harangued for bigger bites
couched in trite lies ’bout rites.
Scammers are clever as they pray, then prey.
Unaware, the taken faithful,
of the debauchery
practiced by pastors that pester them
for green constantly.
The victims have been scammed,
sheared like innocent lambs.
