The Lyrics

Ronald James Padavona (a.k.a. Ronnie James Dio) July 10, 1942 - May 16, 2010 \\m//
Diiiiiii-o!
Di-ee-ee-o!
Ronnie‘s gone, sixty-seven years old
Di!
Missing Di, missing Di, missing Di,
Missing Di, missing Di-ee-ee-oooo
Ronnie’s gone and I raise my horns

Down too long on the midnight shore
Dio’s gone and I flash my horns
Black-a Sabbath when the Oz Man’s gone
Greatest voice metal world has known

Come, Mister Sabbath man, play some bloody Sabbath
Do a wrong, you’re an evil one
Sing, Mister Sabbath man, sing some bloody Sabbath
It goes on, it goes on and on

Well, don’t talk strangers, they‘ll hurt you bunch!
Girls are wrong ‘cause they’ll bring you down
Down too long in the midnight crush!
Lightning comes and it brings me down

Di, missing Di-ee-ee-o
Do your demons dare let you go?
Di, Ronnie D, RJD, missing Di--
Shame on sun and you shame on moon

Lovely Rainbow from Ritchie Blackmore
I’m the sun, I can move and run
Hide in sun till the morning comes, or we’ll --
Hide in sun or we’ll pray it’s all right

Sing -- Hmm hmm hmm-hmm hmm hmm yeah -- much!
You’re the star of the masquerade
Jump on tiger, his heart beat crunch!
Land on back or you’re gonna be lunch
Di, missing Di-ee-ee-o
Been too long in the H2O
Di, Ronnie J, Ronnie J, RJ Di--
Been too long in the H2O

Come, Silver Mountain man, Ronnie on piana
Ronnie’s gone and I flash my horns
Come, Silver Mountain man, play your vox humana
Been too long in the H2O

Diiiiiii-o!
Di-ee-ee-o!
Ronnie‘s gone, sixty-seven years ooooold
Di!
Missing Di, missing Di, missing Di,
Missing Di, missing Di-ee-ee-oooo
Ronnie’s gone and I raise my hooooorns

Very nice tribute. I especially liked how you worked lyrics from "Holy Diver" (among others) in your parody. 555

Okay, okay, Ronnie James Dio was an unbelievable champion of the heavy metal world, but even he would be a bit weirded out by this parody. Well, pacing, if my Beetlejuice memory serves me correctly, seems pretty damn good, so why not a 5? Now for humor, outside of the fact that we're talking about Dio in a Harry Belafonte tone, it is rather depressing. I didn't find it at all funny, but still, one extra point for Dio, so a 2, and a 3 for the overall score. It'll get dated pretty damn quickly, like my Swine Flu song did (:( ), so a 3 is fair enough for another Dio tribute.
