Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

OH, WHAT A TERRIBLE MORNING

There’s a right royal mess on my pillow,
Yes, a right royal mess on my pillow.
I cannot remember what happened last night,
But there’ something that tells me I must have been tight.

Oh, what a terrible morning,
Oh, what a terrible day.
I’ve got a terrible feeling
Nothing is going my way.

I had plans to go visit my mother,
Yes, big plans to go visit my mother.
But with the big pounding inside of my head,
I believe I should do something different instead.

Oh, what a terrible morning,
Oh, what a terrible day.
I’ve got a terrible feeling
Nothing is going my way.

I was hoping to sit in the garden,
Yes, to lap up the sun in the garden.
Yet would you believe though we’re still in July,
The rain clouds are coming and filling the sky.

Oh, what a terrible morning,
Oh, what a terrible day.
I’ve got a terrible feeling
Nothing is going my way.

I am hoping that this was just a parody to publish, and not based on a recent experience. The tone of the parody is the only thing I have a problem with, but even that is hardly worthy of the 1-bomb. The parody itself is great! Good poetic structure, rhymes are good, the meter is flawless. The OS is well-known. Three verses, where the OS has two, but so what! Good job and thank you for submitting it.
