My music hobby is performing old songs (mainly 30’s through 70’s). I write funny parodies for some of them. I change the song’s serious theme to something funny but retain original lyrics and rhyme as much as possible. This one got started by changing the song theme from "you are my sunshine" to "you are my moonshine".

As I lay sleeping
I dreampt about my moonshine still
But when I woke dear
My still was missing
So I hung my head and cried

It was my moonshine
My home-made moonshine
It made me happy

But now my throat’s dry
