The Lyrics

[SPOKEN]

Speakin' of Christmas spirit,
Each year I'm less in a holly mood, and I'll warn ya
I wrote what I call the Santa Cost charade
A few days ago while I was writing this charade
I saw my money go places
For CDs, games and bikes
Watchin' as my money spread all over the world
I started shoutin'
What will Santa cost? What will Santa cost? What will Santa cost?

What will Santa cost?
What will Santa cost?
Watch that bank account drain.
Fixin' for blitzin' sure hope my checks clear,
Bank account it strains.
Bills start stackin', cash gets lackin',
I can't be too very bright.
The gang's gone shopping, I say a prayer,
That Santa costs less tonight.

What will Santa cost?
What will Santa cost?
Watch that bank account drain.
Crowds are a drag, I hate the noise,
It's shoppin' time again,
Got to pay bills, haggle, wrangle,
Oh how the money is tight,
I'll go in debt, that's a sure bet.
What Santa costs just ain't right.

[musical interlude]
'
What will Santa cost?
What will Santa cost?
Watch that bank account drain.
I won't rebound, 'til school lets out.
And Easter's come and been.
Fleece my shirt when the bills call,
It's such a sorrowful plight.
So call the banks get a credit shove,
'Cause Santa costs out of sight.

[musical interlude]

Fleece my shirt when the bills call,
It's such a sorrowful plight.
So call the banks get a credit shove,
'Cause Santa costs out of sight.
So call the banks get a credit shove,
'Cause Santa costs out of sight.

I love it - man, I gotta get crankin' on my own anti-commercialism parodies for this upcoming holiday season. Rick D's probably gonna love this, too.

you could try leaving a jigger of gin on the table instead of cookies; get him drunk and he might not leave a bill

We all know the anagram of SATAN. Johnny was right, I love this. But what bugs me is this. Is there any set of twenty or thirty songs that you listen to for a solid six weeks every damn year? Not willingly, and yet you are told that is supposed to put you in a good mood. I have to go into stores with headphones.
