Song Parodies -> "With A Little Bit Of Flux"

Original Song Title:

"With A Little Bit O' Luck"

Parody Song Title:

"With A Little Bit Of Flux"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

Don't back off from that fearful job of plumbing
Fasten two pipes together, babies can
Drag out the torch and hacksaw, as you're humming
And..A...Little Bit Of Flux, just A Little Bit Of Flux
You'll sweat solder like a plumber man...
(With a little bit...with a little bit...)
(With a little bit of flux you'll fix that span!)

Grab a new roll of solder from your tool chest
Like Tim on "Home Improvement"..snort a grunt..
You'll show your wife and kids that you're the coolest-
Then....With... A...Little Bit Of Flux, With A Little Bit Of Flux,
This will be the "Piece of Cake" you want!
(With a little bit...with a little bit...)
(Just a little bit of flux rubbed on the front)

Run down, turn off the master faucet
Open the little can of flux...that cost four bucks..

Act rough and tough and gruff, snarl something profane
You're the man of the house last time you checked..
Now, flick a spark and light your torch of butane
And....With... A...Little Bit Of Flux, with A Little Bit Of Flux
You can make those copper pipes connect..
(With a little bit, with a little bit)
(With a little bit of flux they shall connect)
(With a little bit, with a little bit)
(With a little bit of pasty flux)

(Secret prayer interlude)

A man was made to be a handy person
There isn't any job that he can't do
If solder fails to stick and things just worsen
Then....take...That Little Bit Of Flux, take The Little Can of Flux
Toss it in and flush it down the loo..
(Flush that little can, flush the little can)
(Flush the little can of flux right down the loo)

(Now, get your cellphone out and call the plumber)
(And place a bucket where the pipe still leaks)
(Call that same guy you had to call last summer)
(And...for...a...bout a hundred bucks, for about a hundred bucks)
(He might show up in the next two weeks)
(Swear a little bit, Swear a little bit)
(Swear that little bit of flux was the wrong kind)
(And save a little bit, save a little bit
(Save a little bit of pride and piece of mind)

Love the OS and your hydrophobophillic take... and AF, your scores are never in flux... they're welded firmly at fives!

luckily I'm the son of a motherfluxer, AFW - she taught me everything I know (but not the meaning of hydrophobophillic) - 555

If I have my medical terminology correct (I am not a doctor, nor am I anything else medical despite my office being caddycorner from the high-school nurse's office), "hydrophobophilic" (one "L") means "one who is attracted to people with rabies" Seriously. "Hydrophobia", or fear of water is a symptom of rabies that somehow became a synonym for it. Here are 555 cans of high-quality flux that you are NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES to flush down the "loo". 555
