Song Parodies -> "High Hopes (TV show "Lost")"

Original Song Title:

"High Hopes"

Original Performer:

Frank Sinatra

Parody Song Title:

"High Hopes (TV show "Lost")"

Parody Written by:

Mr Find

The Lyrics

High Hopes may be one of the most upbeat and positive popular songs of all time -- certainly of Mr. Frank Sinatra's career anyway. Therefore it is only a natural that in the wacky world of Lost the first part of the song is about the manipulative and low-down Benjamin Linus and his attempt to "move" the island. The second part of the song is about the let's-go-return-to-the island obsessed John Locke/Jeremy Bentham. Lastly, and not to spoil things but, the song's third and final section features an explosive ending. (Okay so maybe that was a spoiler. Sorry!)
Next time you're found by Charles Widmore's bloodhounds
There's a wheel you can turn, deep in the ground

Just what makes this Yoda-eyed man
Think he’ll move that whole mass of land
Anyone knows a man can’t
Move a whole mass of land

But he’s got high hopes, he’s got high hopes
He has this place roams time, why not try hopes

So when your time is gettin’ low
’stead of frettin' so
Just remember that man.
Oops, there goes another island-move wham!
Oops, there goes another island-move wham!
(SAWYER: "C''mon!")
Oops, there goes another island-move wham!
________

If that land calls to come back with them all
But you keep getting spurned, their stall'n could halt

Once there was a middlin' bald man
Sought they return to the island
Though they could make that man scram
It kept buggin' them, "Damn!"

’cause he had high hopes, he had high hopes
He had fly one mo' time to the isle hopes

So any time your feelin’ bad,
Grab your travel bag
n' stow in cargo that man.
Oops, there goes some O-6 vanish'd, shazam!
Oops, there goes some O-6 vanish'd, shazam!
(FRANK the Pilot: "Where the ----")
Oops, there goes some O-6 vanish'd, shazam!
________

Once DHARMA gets on to your ruse
You'll be busted soon.
Best give Jughead a pop
Oops, won't blow -- dud Other H-bomb, kerplop!
Oops, won't blow -- dud Other H-bomb, kerplop!
(JULIET: "Come on, you son of a b*tch!")
Woah! there goes the Other H-bomb, kaboom!

Ka-boom!!!

I don't watch the show either, but I loved the way you added some coloring puns to your song! A "high hopes" of 5's for this one!

Love the show, and love the parody. Nice job. Too bad it's the last season, but unlike some series, it won't overstay it's welcome.
