It's boring into the pad of my sole,
Injecting borelliosis into the little hole.
It sucks hemoglobin and likes the taste--
With its snout it is biting me,
Blighting, maiming the host noshingly.
It's so tiny I cannot see
Where it has been placed.

I get a prick but no pain.
Speared in the ball of my foot, where it falls
On the ground when I perambu-
late--I've got a tick in my shoe.

Perambulate down the lane. . .
Don't feel the stick of the proboscis nick
As it bores in to lick sanguine goo,
But I've got a tick in my shoe.

Although I do feel toe pain,
It's not the tick that has made me get ticked;
I am sore. . .muscle crick from tight shoe--
A crick and a tic both ensue.

I've got a tick of type Lyme, and the beast
Will nastily bore me.
I've got a tick and it's spearin' me,
Then it ravenously starts to gore me.

I've got a tick that's my bane,
And it will try to suck its ration dry. . .
Likes blood whether it's common or blue.
