The Lyrics

Final answer.
Peas and carrots, peas and carrots
Goes together like a flock of parrots
These I've threw up today
All these junk went onto your toupee

Peas and carrots, peas and carrots
Like a prostitute from depths of Paris
Ask a local dealer
And he will try to find a huge sealer

Try, try, try to enjoy no doubt
It's a delusion
Try, try, try, and you'll puke it back out
This is pollution

Peas and carrots, peas and carrots
Goes together like a flock of parrots
These I've threw up today
All these junk went onto your toupee
Fixed it up again, let me know if I should have the other one deleted.

You need to get that checked...you've thrown up three times! 555 all the way on this one!

A vegan must've came by.

It didn't really make sense to me. Why exactly are you vomiting into the fake hair of men?
Agrimorfee - July 17, 2007 - Report this comment
(Artistry) Weird and gross can be good, but usually not at the same time.

(Artistry) Sorry, just didn't connect with this one.

(Artistry)...hang on. You threw up into a man's toupee...was there meant to be a punchline?
Red Ant - July 28, 2007 - Report this comment
Hate carrots, peas are okay... sadly, I just didn't get this one either, though "Like a prostitute from depths of Paris" was inspired.

(art) hmm, nowhere near your best Max, imo ;-(

(Artistry) Well--the rhyme scheme could use some work, but it paced pretty well.

I like the concept but there are several lines that didn't quite gel for me, so I was wondering if you could help me out.

In the first couple of lines you say that peas and carrots go together like 'a flock of parrots' Is this meant in a good or a bad way? What does going together like a flock of parrots actually mean?

Secondly the second verse has a badly misrhymed line - Paris doesn't exactly rhyme with carrots does it, unless this misrhyme was intentional or something.

The third verse was OK so Im not gonna go on too much about it. And the fourth verse would have looked better if it wasn't a copy of the first verse.

(SOTM) Same as I said before

(SOTM) See above, and I'll add that "carrots/Paris" works well to my ears: "CARE-its/PAIR-is" is close enough to a perfect double rhyme.

SOTM - Made me come up with "Jail and Paris" as an idea of my own, but she's out already so that idea will have to go the same way.

(SOTM) Didn't quite gel for me either, Max....sorry. The good idea wasn't matched with tight enough execution. Nice attempt, but not this time. 444

Fairly sick, I guess - so is the toupee a carrot-top now?
stuart mcarthur - August 30, 2007 - Report this comment
(SOTM) very random Max - btw what is a "sealer"?

SOTM - ehh.... so-so, but not SOTM material.

Great idea, not well executed. 4s

(SOTM) Pacing was again very good in my opinion--but rhyming wasn't your best Max. . .this one works, and it's cute, but not very funny. . .I hope to see you continue to improve, I think you are capable of much better.
