"Redneck Motel"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

Well, since I went to Texas
I found a new place to dwell.
It's right in the middle of nowhere, it's
The Redneck Motel

You sleep with a coney baby
Sleep with a coney
Sleep with a coney in the night

Paw he holds a shotgun
And a great big Colt, of course
But he looks a real strange cowboy
When he's mounting that horse

Or was it a pony, maybe?
Was it a pony
Was it a pony, a few hands high

Well, Emmy-Lou's a virgin
I reckon that's no lie
But if her paw and bro' don't want her
Hell, neither do I

She isn't a comely lady
She ain't so comely
She ain't so comely, guess that's why

Well, I guess it's time to leave now
After Emmy-Lou and liquor
Here comes Paw with his shotgun,
Sheeyit... here comes the vicar

I ain't sure that I do speak Redneck, Paul... maybe just a few words.
This one was inspired in part by Ivor Biggun's "Halfway up Virginia", and partly by Barry Cryer's singing "My old man's a dustman" to this tune (on ISIHAC Volume 5 which I've just got from the library) - if you think this one funny, I'd strongly recommend trying to find both of these.
