The Lyrics

I'm gonna rise up so early in this morning
It's switching back to wintertime, so I will give this warning
when clock strikes three - the time is really two -
a lot of adjusting is next morning there to do
Sometimes I wonder what I am gonna do -
Daylight Saving Time or the Summer Time Blues!

The Fall is hitting hard and the evenings growing darker
In Summer it was light all night but shadows are now starker
November has now come and the days are all too short -
Fair dinkum! It's that way when you live at sixty North!
It's pain to switch the clocks and VCR - that, too
It's Daylight Saving Time or the Summer Time Blues

For the next five months there's sunlight by the ration
It's UTC+2 for the whole Finnish nation!
But when it's end of March, it's the vernal equinox -
Oh, darn it! Losing sleep one hour really sucks!
But in Helsinki we'll have - sunlight then for good
It's Daylight Saving Time or the Summer Time Blues

Thanks :-) I thought this was too obvious a topic - wonder why anyone hadn't yet made a parody over DST in this tune. "Fair dinkum" is Aussie expression, but in these days many Finns also use that phrase to imply "oh, really" or "fair enough".
