The Lyrics

The worst time of year... the time between end of Spring Break and the last day of school. Desperate measures need to be taken to get students' attention, let alone teach them anything. This is my lament !
Spring Break is over
No toes in the clover.
It's back to sporadic
Students nomadic
Loudspeaker static.
More functions quadratic
and graphs erratic.
But math isn't fun
When under the gun.
No one is ecstatic.

So maybe tomorrow
I'll teach what I'm after.
Some whimsy in class !
I'll graph on my a**
to bring some math laughter.
A writ on my corpus,
(it ain't so delicti)
It's worth a sore puss
to get them to learn pi.

Good thing for George and Ira Gershwin that you teach math, not English ("Whom can I turn to?"; better: "To whom can I turn?") LOL :).... Tony Bennett did it before it became Dusty. (Hint: G**g*e dot com)..... Would that "hind-sight" graph be a line, a circle (or two), an ellipse, or a parabola? ;-) 5x2 +5x + 5 = 555, and this is a timed test!

Thanks AFW.... and TT, I looked this song up on the internet and that's the title !! Can "I" help it if George and Ira couldn't get it together ??? Five lashes for you !!!! .... and thanks alvin, for the rhyming tribute to my work..... and thanks Rick C, I kinda enjoyed that line myself... I hope I can get back to "normal" parodies instead of teacher ones.... but maybe it's an occupational hazard...

The censure was directed at OT of OS by OA (authors). i. e., had you been an English teacher, you woulda trashed GG and IG for their error.... shall I repeat that, more slowly?...My turn to be the lasher, and yours the lashee :) :) :)
