The Lyrics

Guy can't wait for his pay cheque so that he can party all weekend. To the sounds of Dean Martin. Makes sense to me!
What's the saying? Thank God it's Friday
The weekend, I can't wait
Party 'til I cannot stands no more
They throw me out the door

Half an hour 'til my shift completes
Not long relatively
This time I won't have to fill for Steve
Say to him "Well, hard cheese"

I'll get my check and be out the door
I'd skip if that weren't a weird thing, dude
Have some standards, but they'll be hist'ry
After one drink or three

I am smiling though that's not my thing
People give looks at me
Fast food servers usually look down
I look high as the clouds

My composure is so solid now
I'm thinkin' 'bout the weekend, it's true
People yellin' that their food has cheese
I'm grinning like a freak

Will the party lead to vi-o-lense?
Given me, it makes sense
Watch the clock behind the paying crowd
Bossman please, pay me now
He hands out
My pay cheque, and I'm out
"Usually" has three syllables here, "hour" has two. Steve is a reference to my previous parody Burgers where the singer had to fill in for Steve instead of going home like he wanted to.

Well done sir. I especially liked your sub for violins with violence and the whole sequel feel this has to "Burgers".

(Artistry) Burgers Pt. 2? LOL Nice! For some reason I had a little trouble in some parts with the pacing, it mught just be me though. I could be reading it wrong. Regardless, this parody is great!

I concur with Blaydeman on pacing, its a decent parody TCOP. . . not as funny as some of your other recent stuff, but still good

(Artistry) Hey, great. You just got paid. Now you can pay me that $555 you owe me. [Great work!]

(Artistry) I couldnt play the referenced video link, so I downloaded the OS credited as being part of Martin's Greatest Hits, then found another Youtube performance, and I couldnt match the pacing on either one. Partially the problem is the Dino's smooth vocal delivery belies the actual syllable and beats the song is written for. In the long run, I really couldnt understand a lot of what was going on with your parody until I read it without the music playing.

(Artistry) It's always fun to build on previous work. What's next, the character parties too hard and winds up in jail? :-)
