The Lyrics

after all the fun and games in the English Football Association in 2004 - I had to write this. I am sure that everyone knows Sven is the England football team coach.
I'm Sven Goran Eriksson
I've many a tale to tell
And though I am a swede,
I'd say
I tell them rather well
I'll train your team and help them win
When I have a moment free
When I'm not other wise occupied
With a pretty girl whose hair is dyed
And who is in love with me.
I'm Sven Goran Eriksson,
Eriksson, that's me

I'm Sven Goran Eriksson
A man the girls adore
There once was an F A man
who said
Oh how I'd love to score
And then and there came a secret'ry
Who offered to take things down
He said to her in a voice so rich
Now I did not say you could play on pitch
But I would take off your gown.
I'm Sven Goran Eriksson,
Eriksson's in town

I write diary every day
And I place it in my case
Then things get rough and the lid's blown off
And they blow up in my face
These things just keep me on my toes
A private man who no-one knows
I take my diary from the shelf
And read it so that I can see
I'm Sven Goran Eriksson,
Eriksson, that's me

I'm Sven Goran Eriksson
My life's like an open book
Permit me to show you,
dear sir
The liberties I took
Now here's a tale of a simple male
Who fell for a girl or two
You'll laugh ha, ha but you'll blush a bit
For you realize as you're reading it
That you wished that it was you
I'm Sven Goran Eriksson,
Eriksson, that's who

I'm Sven Goran Eriksson
And this is an August day
The FA have cleared me
Again
I am back in the fray
My pocketbook has an empty look
But I know what I will do
If I simply wish I will find a dish
Or a maiden fair with golden hair
Yes simply it is true
I'm Sven Goran Eriksson,
Eriksson, that's who

Damn! Another I wish I'd thought of doing: seems so obvious when you think about it. Beautifully crafted, Peter, extremely witty and damn near perfect :-)

DKTOS but IŽll trust Phil on the pacing. HereŽs another 555 and the link to my own parody on the subject:

I know who Sven is, and think this parody is just fine!

Frank Skinner described Sven Goran Eriksson as looking like a pharmacist the week England got knocked out of Euro 2004. Given Skinner's lousy record with women (he described women over 30 as 'rough as old arseholes') I suspect Skinner's jealous of Eriksson too!
