The Lyrics

MIDI Scroll down to Back To The Future (a better remake of this parody of mine from 3 years ago)
(scat "boing, boing, boing, boing, boing, boing, boing..the scale it has been sprung") x 2)

No more, yo-yo, please diet King (boing, boing, boing, boing)
Been on all diets that I've ever seen. (boing, boing, boing, boing)
He has two hips like rolls that are clover (boing, boing, boing, boing)
And his belt with his stomach flowing over.
Yo-yo, go it alone,
Don't have no body that's fat as yours.
Please keep on your diet scheme
Mr. Yo-yo, bring me a dream.

No more, yo-yo, your diet schemes
They are the poorest that I've ever seen.
Eat like a bird, then think it's all over.
Then gain it back with extra pounds moreover.
Yo-yo, do drop a stone
I'd feel so shoddy to go it alone.
Please keep on your diet scheme
Don't be Yo-yo, bring me a dream.

I say, yo-yo (I say yo-yo) use this regime (use this regime)
Give it some care, diet slow and you'll reach my dream. (you'll reach my dream)
I hear your stinky farts don't get near, graci. (get near, graci)
Nor lots of gravy and chocolates made by Baci
Mr. Yo-yo, a ton I hold (a ton I hold)
You'd be so hunky for me to behold. (me to behold)
Please keep on your diet scheme (your diet scheme)
Mr. Yo-yo, bring me a dream.

Thanks, John.....a healthy breakfast?

Thanks alvin!

Laughing off the pounds, even from title on home page; expecting parody on "walking the dog" and other tricks with Duncan toy - actual is much funnier. Take off 5 lbs. three times.

Thanks TT...: D
Red Ant - March 22, 2006 - Report this comment
Great use of TOS; especially like the boing-boing you did with the background vocals. Diets never worked for me, exercise made the most impact. 5s.

Yo, I liked it.
Stuart McArthur - March 23, 2006 - Report this comment
the Baci line was a treat, Pat, but I'm a big fan of the yo-yo diet - eat anything you like for a week, then starve for a week (altho, admittedly I enjoy one week more than the other) - 555
Adagio - March 23, 2006 - Report this comment
Thanks Larry and Stu (glad you liked the Baci...real life too? When you're not on a yo-yo, that is. : D ,as if you needed it)

SOTM - (Get) off the scale!
Chris Bodily TM - April 06, 2006 - Report this comment
(SOTM) This one was way off the scale, but that joke was already taken. This parody is so phat! It could have been used in Halloween 6: The Curse of Michael Myers. Have you seen how fat Michael Myers was in that film? Actually, "Mr. Sandman" was used in Halloween 2 and H20. And what's a yo-yo, besides the obvious? 555

Clever - Exremely clever. Where you tutored in the art of parody or did you figure verse, timing & rhyming on your own. Never mind, this is one great parody and you get 5's from this fan. Go Adagio!
Adagio - April 07, 2006 - Report this comment
Thanks Chris and P&R. Chris...I guess it met with your approval with the 5's. Yo-yo dieting is some shoddy kind of diet where a person loses weight rapidly. then abandons the diet and gains it all back...plus some. But, you already knew that.
Johnny D - April 07, 2006 - Report this comment
555, hilarious, Pat! Hmm....maybe I'll write a parody of "Mr. Sandman", too.... heh heh heh ;-)
Adagio - April 07, 2006 - Report this comment
Johnny, I'd be interested in your version....like what kind of "sandman" you'd come up with ...LOL
Cat - April 08, 2006 - Report this comment
(SOTM) Although I had already known about it from "Off-Pitch Women," now I'm fully aware of your "howler monkey side," Adagio. Great great stuff. =)
Matthias - April 08, 2006 - Report this comment
I never even heard of the Yo-Yo diet until this parody, learn something new everyday... Great job on this song, not only is a good song from the 50's, but it's used in my ultimate favorite movie!!!
Adagio - April 08, 2006 - Report this comment
Thanks Cat, and Matthias : D
Rex - April 09, 2006 - Report this comment
(SOTM) What an interesting video this parody could have... Personally, though, I would never diet or do anything that starts with "die". Fun concept.

I had not yet heard of the yo-yo diet either. Very fun stuff. For some reason, substituting 'boing' for 'bum' tickled my funnybone.
Scathe - April 13, 2006 - Report this comment
(SOTM) I don't know what a yo-yo diet is, but from this parody it sounds like a fad diet.
Rick C - April 15, 2006 - Report this comment
(SOTM) Excellent! This was a lot of fun, Pat. High-fives.

(sotm) yes, love the Baci in real life too Pat - you can get it in 4-litre tubs here - magic coupling of OS to idea here, too - works delightfully

(SOTM) I went back and forth on this one =) Nice job!
Red Ant - April 30, 2006 - Report this comment
(SOTM) "And his belt with his stomach flowing over."; that's Dunlop's disease: his belly done lopped over his pants! Not my joke, but it fit the parody. See above!
Adagio - April 30, 2006 - Report this comment
Thanks Jack and Jeff! Stu... 4-litre tubs? I only saw those little rounds of chocolate I found in Italy, then here.
Stuart McArthur - April 30, 2006 - Report this comment
oh no, we have baci-styled icecream as well, in Australia - worth a trip here for that alone Pat ;-)
Phil Alexander - April 30, 2006 - Report this comment
Could just be me, but I didn't actually see anything really funny in this at all. Well crafted as a parody, true, but not exactly hilarious.
Confission - April 30, 2006 - Report this comment
(sotm) is that what the yoyo diet is? i was mistaken. at least all of them i ate came right back up. nice parody
Adagio - April 30, 2006 - Report this comment
Baci ice cream, Stu!! That would tempt most everybody to abandon the diet ship. : )

Phil,thanks..perhaps your funnybone needs tuning? : D

Confission...you ate yo-yo's? : D thanks (I'll stick to boring food)

Will somebody please help me find the parody where it's called Mr Saddam which they make fun of Saddam Hussein? It goes something like this: Bomb Bomb Bomb Bomb Bomb Bomb Bomb Bomb Bomb: 2X. Mr Sadam Bring us some peace. Pull out your tanks and your troops. (something like that) I can't remember Dad found it years ago and whenever I see any references to this song it makes me think of that.
