There's nothing the Congress or President can do to put this country back on the right track. Unfortunately, they are going to insist on doing "something". California is not ordinarily the source of good ideas, but they do have something the federal government could use: a recall mechanism for broken politicians.

Kristof Robertson: To reiterate what FG said, *we are not Rush Limbaugh". ;) I didn't vote for him, but he won, so I too wished that he would succeed, despite misgivings, because I live here, too. But we calls 'em as we sees 'em, and what we sees so far ain't been good. If he'd come to his senses, I'd gladly retract the "bow out" and invite him to stay. seweweno: To be fair (Are you still reading, Kristof?), he *did* inherit a good bit of it. But he hasn't done anything to fix any of it, but rather seems to be making it worse. As per yesterday's econo-epic, (no v/c there, eh? lol) a lot of these problems trace back almost a century. But yeah, he raised expectations and then did the opposite.
