The Lyrics

I don't begrudge President Obama a well-deserved family Christmas vacation, especially in the land of his birth...Hawaii! (Knock it off, you guys! You know damn well I'm not a birther!) ;D

Mele Kalikobama - Merry Christmas Day
From the land of blue sky, surf, and foam.
Mele Kalikobama - you will hear me say
'Cause The One has gone back "home".
In D.C. they are wearing flannel on their legs
As Doctor Berwick reveals new life panel regs.
Mele Kalikobama - wish that we could always stay
And force the Tea Party to roam!

Mele Kalikobama - lots of joy and cheer
In the land of palm trees, sun, and rain.
Mele Kalikobama - we vacationed here
'Cause Michelle has been to Spain!
We'll feeling oh so festive and we're so gid-dy!
The press proclaims me to be the "Comeback Kid-die"!
Mele Kalikobama - 'cause here we have naught to fear
Away from that old White House strain.

(Instrumental chorus - steel guitar and swing band)

Mele Kalikobama - Happy Holiday
As we say among the strict P.C.
Mele Kalikobama - watch the fishes play.
They're as carefree as can be.
Can't wait to get back in the face of G.O.P.!
I've become one tough son of a me-ne-hu-ne!
Mele Kalikobama - all the enemies I'll slay.
So I'll say in closin'
(While all you are frozen)
The closin' posin' Chosen of the frozen...that's me!

Book him, Big O! ;D

A little jealous of the Big O this week. (No, not Oprah: Chicago got socked by the snow, too.) Can I be angry at the President for a little while? "Yes we can, yes we can." In fact, on the new "Hawaii Five-O," the Danny Williams character (played by Scott Caan) is from New Jersey. Lucky b@st@rd, gets to be in Hawaii AND gets to see Grace Park every day.

You followed the unusual ababccab rhyme scheme perfectly. lol 5s
He also visited Hawaii while campaigning, just after his 47th birthday; see ~misc/andywilliams14.shtml for my premonitions then.

Yup, I remember this song...played it in my Holiday classic film, "Christmas Vacation"...nice job of squeezing it into a political spoof
