Farce - I remember this one as a kid. My mother had the 78 record but the original artist was Dorathy (sic) Shay circa early 1940's. Shay's version is somewhat different than Bing's. Here is Shay's rendition on youtube:

I like what you did with this one. The OS is a parody in itself. Now I also remember an Arthur Godfrey number called "Slap her down again, Pa" but I can't seem to find it anywhere except some lyric site and even there they miss a verse or two. Give Shay's version a listen. We also had the "Too fat polka" but I see that you have done something with that one. Anyway fine parody on a parody like OS.

Thanks, Guy..yeah, I remember that old hillbilly fun Slap song...couldn't do a song like that today, though....encourages domestic abuse...too bad, too, the world is losing it's sense of humor. Seems like everything has to be taken seriously..doesn't it?
