The Lyrics

The original lyrics are here. PLEASE don’t criticize my pacing until you compare them to the provided lyrics. Thanks.
I am a Jonas,
Exploit me at your will
Little girls adore us
Parents want to kill

We will make CDs
Spread like a disease
They’re all Disney-made
Filled with pre-teen cheese
All our sales will rise
Until we all die
Everybody buy
Hundred dollar tickets!

We are a teenage cliché
But we will never go away
We have taken over all the U.S.A!
And guess which one of us is gay!

I am a Jonas Bro,
We are 3 pubescent boys,
The critics hate our music
But we’re still making noise! Making noise!
We’re all close as glue
In the bedroom too!
All the adults yell
“Wish you’d burn in hell”
We wear promise rings
To keep us in line
Until I’m married
Right hand is my lover!

Our fame, I just can’t understand,
Cuz we’re hated more than the Klan,
You want to hit us with your van
Or send us to die in Iran

The boss will not let us go!
Our mom will not let us go!
Disney will not let us go!
Gun point, they won’t let us go!
Help!

The tweens will not let us go!
Our dadwill not let us go!
Disney will not let us go!
Against our will, we can’t go!
Help! Help! HELP!

I am a Jonas..
I don't very much care for the Jonas Brothers.

GREAT song & parody, S.P.!! Reminds me of the South Park episode where the Jonas Bros. got the crap kicked out of them by their boss, MICKEY MOUSE!!! One of the funniest scenes I've ever seen that show do..
Invisible Boy - May 07, 2009 - Report this comment
Nice parody SP...but, could you tell us how you really feel ?
Silver Power - May 08, 2009 - Report this comment
[[Mark Scotti]] Thanks, what's it called [the episode], I'll look it up. [[Invisible Boy]] I don't very much care for the Jonas Brothers. ;]

Someone gave me ones... It was probably Walt Disney because - A: I dissed the Jonas Bros, and B: I'm Jewish.

SOTM: Pretty funny, pacing was a little off in some spots, but still pretty good. I acutally did a parody just like this...not bad!
Mark Scotti - June 09, 2009 - Report this comment
SOTM: As I commented earlier, I really enjoyed this one...

The pacing was based on the lyrics provided in the top comment, which, to my knowledge, are the correct ones.
DJ Blaze - June 12, 2009 - Report this comment
The J-Bros are HIGHLY overrated, and this parody states that perfectly. 555 for this one. And, SP.... you're Jewish?
Agrimorfee - June 12, 2009 - Report this comment
(SOTM) Yeah, you technically should have written one beat less in each line for the "let us go" coda. But the satire was great and spoton.
Silver Power - June 13, 2009 - Report this comment
[[DJ Blaze]] Technically, I am. See my mother was Jewish, my father was Christian. I'm personally agnostic which in a nutshell means, I feel that there is some God, but I don't know who. Now my parents are divorced, so I celebrate Christmas with my Dad and Hannukah [sp?] with my Mom. [[Agrimorfee]] Wow, you're right. I didn't even notice it. Thanks.
DJ Blaze - June 13, 2009 - Report this comment
Thanks for explaining that to me, SP. By the way, I'm a 100 percent Christian.
Matthias - June 14, 2009 - Report this comment
This was good and a great twist on the original title, and I love Weezer but what would have made it even better would be if it was a parody of a Jonas Brother's song.
Silver Power - June 16, 2009 - Report this comment
You do have a good point, Matthias, but (un?)fortunately, I don't listen to the Jonas Bros, nor do I know their music by heart.

My name is Peter and I approve of this parody (comment might be "copyright" of Johnny D but it seems to fit here) :-)
Silver Power - June 21, 2009 - Report this comment
So I have your endorsement? Sweet, Lol. Now if you could get Disney to endorse my parody, that'd be an achievment.
Chris Bodily TM - June 25, 2009 - Report this comment
(SOTM) I loved this... you hit the nail on the hammer with this one, right into the center of the Jonas CD cases. Great twist on the original title. Yet you failed to mention Alec Baldwin. LOL 455

(SOTM) Never heard any of the Jonas Brothers' output, so there's not much for me in here. What's I do find funny is that apparantely the Jonas Brothers covered the OS purely for the title. Anyway, that's all I got.

SOTM...hee hee. Nice work on this one, SP...I love Weezer and love making fun of Disney Channel manufactured superstars. I disagree, though, that all the parents hate the Jo-Bros, though...I think my sister in law is relieved that my nieces love them rather than some of their other options. =) Great job!

(SOTM) Oh, I WILL exploit them at my will! >:D Great idea for a title sub, and funny throughout. Thanks for the disclaimer at the end, I wasn't sure what your true feelings were. 555
Phil Alexander - June 30, 2009 - Report this comment
No idea who the Jonas Brothers are, but I know the type (especially the pre-teen cheese disease CDs). Excellent stuff :-)

SOTM: Another glimpse of my future with my daughter when she gets hooked on this. Funny stuff, and great idea through the title
Invisible Boy - June 30, 2009 - Report this comment
An excellent bash and great idea from the OS.
Q: Did you hear about the dyslexic agnostic insomniac ?

A: He once stayed-up all night wondering if there really was a Dog...

(SOTM) Which one is gay? That'd be the one who danced around in a leotard like Beyonce doing a parody of the Single Ladies video in high heels without getting paid to do it. . .That was surprisingly funny, loved "pre-teen cheese". . .I'm not a fan of the Jonas Brothers, but what on Earth possessed you to do a Weezer song with this subject?
Silver Power - July 02, 2009 - Report this comment
The original song's title possessed me to. I never wrote this parody intending on entering it in SOTM, but since I didn't submit any other parodies, it seemed like this was the only choice.
Jack Wilson - December 03, 2009 - Report this comment
If you put a Jonas Brothers CD next to a piece of crap in the toilet, you wouldnt tell a difference, thats JMO, so this gets MAJOR 555,plus I LOVE WEEZER!
