One of my Faves, the queen of all rock diva's is Tina Turner. It's all pretty amazing because, she's my mom's age, and still strutting her stuff . She was born Annie Mae Bullock from Nutbush Tennessee in 1936... The rest is history...BTW: I could help but poke a little fun at Tina, and myself in this rendition---*giggle*

Speaking of moms, I was watching Tina on TV with my mom, and she looked at Tina's hair, and asked me "could I mop my floor with that?" As Jack Blades said about his buddy Ted Nugent, "It's not how old you are, it's how you are old."

Yep. I would have like to have played Justin Timberlake to Tina's Janet Jackson back in 1984. She was one hot 40 something.

Not a big TT fan myself ("The Best" is a nice piece though) but I guess it said something already in the 80s when Pepsi choosed TT for their "The choice of a new generation" commercials. Someone who is more than 20 years into their career is not a member of a new generation... but dammit if it didn�t work anyway! ;-)
