I met up this morning
With my manager
For my performance review
He said, “My daughter’s more competent than you,
And last month she turned two.”

According to him,
My insights are very dim
And I make decisions on a whim
Just last week he asked me to go out for a swim
In Costa Rica, so prim

I heard through the grapevine that my duties went to
The coffee-slinging college intern
I heard colleagues whispering and saw them fleeing
It was the point of no return

I must say it ain’t easy going job-hunting at all, yeah
I’ve sent résumés and drove to job fairs all day long

(I hope I can get myself an interview!)

Guess what? I have to go train my replacement
Eight hours every day
And I finally scored me an interview
At a place along the bay
