The Lyrics

I am indebted to two sources for this parody--first "Little Jess", an lovely Greek-American acquaintance at a Chicago BBS for explaining the key phrase that inspired this work...and from Wilton Barnhardt's novel "Gospel" for the other naughty word. Suffice it to say, it would not be wise to utter these phrases at your local Gyro Shop. Anyway, we now visit our favorite Grecian Taverna, after business hours where owner Spiro Theodakis has just a read a Critic's unfavorable review of his restaurant in the daily paper....
Gamotokerata! (**"ya-mo-to-ker-ah-tah!**)
It's an insulting phrase!
Gamotokerata!
It's not a sign of praise!

It's mean and nasty
In a Grecian way
Such a pretty...obscenity
Gamotokerata!

(Spiro:)
I think you're a dirty dog!
Yes, you are a dirty dog!
You said my mousakka was bad for your meal
And my souvlaki was a horrible deal
And the balalaika players were horrid and stank
You have drank too much ouzo and you got tanked

It's you I blame!
(Mrs. Theodakis: It's him he blames!)
Customers no longer came
(Mrs. Theodakis: It still seems the same!)
Your review is Grade Zeta!
You malakismena!! (**mal-ah-kees-meh-nah!!**)

(Mrs. Theodakis): Spiro, please, not in front of the children!
(Spiro:) Oh, sorry!

(In spite of her scolding, Spiro continues his rant:)

Gamotokerata!
It's an insulting phrase
Gamotokerata!
See how that insult slays!?

I curse your babies
For the rest of your days
You don't like me?
That's fine with me!
Gamotokerata!!

Gamoto--kerata!
Gamoto--kerata!
Gamoto--kerata!...

(Artistry) Enjoyed this!

Artistry - It's clever, but the pacing seemed awkward in parts and it would be impossible to follow without the explanations, which I think is far from ideal for a parody.

(Artistry) Absolutely Hilarious! The pacing, well, I have to admit, you lost me a bit at parts on the pacing, but I love the idea thoroughly. . .and a complete 180 on the original, something I love to do myself, I can certaintly appreciate the effort
