The Lyrics

I used the Sugar Ray lyrics for this parody.
A Mad Cadaver

Just can't keep a zombie down
It's got me runnin'
all around
'Round and 'round and 'round I go
who it is nobody knows

Every time it feels my brain
I chill up like a frozen drain
Frozen drain full of thick mire
Hurry baby, set the ghool on fire!

A big bad mad cadaver
It wants to reach out and grab ya
A big bad mad cadaver
A mad cadaver

It makes me scared, it makes me sigh
It makes me shriek, It makes me cry
Keeps me runnin' from it's touch
Just the thought of it's icy clutch

A big bad mad cadaver
It wants to reach out and grab ya
A big bad mad cadaver
A mad cadaver

I feel the evil in it's distress
I get nausious when I smell it's breath
Filthy, creepy, walking disgrace
Torn clothing and a rotting face

I see bloodshot hanging eyes
It's ribs are sticking out it's side
Just when I think I'm gonna get away
It lifts the rear of my Chevrolet

A big bad mad cadaver
It wants to reach out and grab ya
A big bad mad cadaver
A mad cadaver

Every time it moans my name
I try to shoot it in the brain
In the brain - that's where I'll fire
Kill the zombie! That is my desire

I speed up, I can't slow down
My situation goes 'round and 'round
I speed up, I can't slow down
My situation goes 'round and 'round
I speed up, I can't slow down
My situation goes 'round and 'round

Shoot! You beat me to this! I was going to dig up a copy of this song and do "Grab a Cadaver" (med school theme) out of it... the zombie theme was my fall back, if the original verses didn't lend themselves to dissection vernacular. Oh well. I'll have to come back and rate after I've heard the original -- it's been so many years since I heard it that all I remember is the chorus.

This used to be one of my favourite subjects. Check out the following old verse on limerick-meter (Well, almost, there´s a syllable too much for that)

An udderly mad cow from Nantucket
is alive, though she did kick the bucket
bse-fied and hairy
she´s more zombie than dairy
we must dig out her brain and then smack it
