The Lyrics

First, I apologize to Billy Boyd for making fun of a very good SP song. Billy Corgan's voice drives me nuts, so he sings about it in this parody. I was going to title this "Emo" but had two different subs. for the original lyric "Disarm" (which weren't "emo") and no other good parody names sprang to mind hence the odd title that has nothing to do with the upcoming ABC-X round. ;-)
[intro]

I'll sing this with a whine
You'll notice by the time I'm through
The most basic rhymes
That's all I need so that is all I'll use!
Woah-oh-ohh, ears burn

Woah-ho-oh, ears BURN!

I sing and scream.. like little boys
Like boys, with no pubes

And what I do.. is make noise
Lots of noise, to bother you

I hope puber-TEE..! is a-comin' real soon
Dear God!

Extend my whine.. over to you

[break]

Not singing like a guy
Really like I can't get air
You wonder all the while
The silliness of all that I emote
Woah-oh-oh, I don't know

Woah-ho-oh, I am burned,
BURNED!
BUrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrARGGGH!

I'm just a dweeb.. who does annoy
So what?, that's old news!,

Where I lose.. is my voice
Is my voice annoying you?,

The emo in me.. is the life of this tune
Some life

Extend my whine.. over to you

The emo in me... is the life of this tune
And my style's... overblown too
The emo in me... is the life of this tune
Send my WHINE!... over to you
You'll be relieved... at the end of this tune
And the quiet is coming soon

Hehe...I don't take music that seriously, Ant. I can like an artist or band but still recognzie their absurdities and can appreciate making fun of them. Anyway...really good parody you got here. All 5's..

Thanks Billy Boyd. I bought the Rotten Apples CD the other day and had forgotten about this SP song, which is one of their best. I wanted to spoof Zero or 1979 instead but couldn't really stand to listen to them over and over to get the pacing right (they're not bad songs though). I never had heard their cover of "Landslide" until yesterday. I cringed a bit as the FM version is really too good to touch as a cover.

555, I have heard this one(remembered it part way through), very good.

That voice is the main reason I've never really taken too like this band (though 1979 is a good song, I remember liking that one when they ran it on tv/radio all the time).

BTW: There's no guarantee that it will still be there when YOU (Whoever you are) read this, but I found the original song here:

Thanks Step-chan and Peter. Oh, in all likelyhood this won't be entered into the X round this year, I submitted an X title for tomorrow that's funnier to a more well-known song. ;-)

LOL... I wish I had seen this one back when it came out. Good job... even if I'm 4 years late.

Although I do like Smashing Pumpkins this was a very fine peice of Red Ant mockery.

Well, you rubbed at least one Pumpkins fan wrong. I love your bashes Red Ant, but it'd be nice (and weird) to see you do a tribute once in awhile. . .

(ABC5) This parody would be a lot funnier if I had heard the original SP song...or any SP song for that matter. Um...that's all I got to say
