Parody Song Title:

"Buffets"

Parody Written by:

Billy Boyd

The Lyrics

Buffets are the greatest
thing I've ever known
Eight pieces of catfish
and large helpings of coleslaw
I'll unbutton my jeans
before I get full

I wanted more
than drive-thru's could ever grant me
With my plate and fork
I'll stuff my face

Buffets are the greatest
thing I've ever known
For my seventh trip, yeah,
more corn and more meat loaf
I'll eat this place out
before I get full

My wife cries to me
"you're about to burst'!
but I'm trying so hard
to get my money's worth
The whole place looks appalled
as I eat, eat and eat
but my belly ain't full

Buffets are...
Buffets are...
Buffets are...
the greatest thi-i-i-i-i--ing ooh ooh ooh
ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh

I know they want me gone
I know they want me gone
I know they want me gone
I know they want me gone

But buffets are the greatest
thi-i-i-i-i-i-i-ing
Buffets are the greatest
thing
Buffets are greatest
thing that
I have
ever...
ever...

DKTOS either as I detest the SP, but I like buffets. Funny ending too.

Thanks AFW and Red Ant. Why do you detest the Pumpkins, Ant? Just curious.
Red Ant - November 14, 2005 - Report this comment
Well, perhaps detest was too strong a word-highly annoyed is more accurate. Billy Corgan's voice is the main reason, though I have others why I don't like TSP. As much as "Smells Like Teen Spirit" was overplayed "Bullet With Butterfly Wings" was twice as bad locally. I may get the SP Greatist Hits CD though, the SP are the only 1st generation mainstream 'grunge band' (I use the term grunge loosely with them) I've yet to parody.

Excellent parody and hilarious idea. I did have to rate the pacing at 4, though. It was off in just a few key places. Other than that, it was great. :)

Thanks MrMcphisto, and yeah, guilty as charged on the pacing in a few lines. But thanks again for the vote & comment. Red Ant, thanks for the response. Didn't expect one really, since I realized soon after submitting it what a pointless question it was, but I do have a bad habit of posting before thinking better...many of my parodies are proof of that...lol. And yeah, I definately agree about Corgans annoying voice, but I always dug the Pumpkins anyway for their sad and emotional lyrics...plus, they were the first alternative rock music I was introduced to., after spending so much of my early years being forced to listen to country music. Anyway...rambled again here...sheesh...but thanks again.
