The Lyrics

Bad Habit: Being nervous about EVERYTHING!!!
Oh man! Oh man! Oh man! Oh man!

(Worrier!)
Stripping on the stage
(Worrier!)
Tiger loose from cage
(Worrier!)
Smashed Mercedes Benz
(Worrier!)
Cheating girlfriends
(Worrier!)
Getting searched for drugs
(Worrier!)
Live electric plugs
(Worrier!)
Getting locked out nude
(Worrier!)
These things bug me, dude

(Get Stressed)
Life is stressful, duh!
(Get Stressed)
Sometimes need a hug
(Get Stressed)
I can’t touch the glue
(Get Stressed)
I think I’ll get stuck to you!

(Get Stressed)
(Cause you might be freakin’ screwed)
(Get… Stressed!!!)

(Worrier!)
Badly burnt at beach
(Worrier!)
On my butt’s a leach
(Worrier!)
Pissed off, angry wife
(Worrier!)
She has got a knife!

(I’m so screwed!)
Fighting the zombies!
(I might puke!)
If I’m stung by bees
(I may die!)
Seeing Oprah’s breast!
(My hair grays)
Hearing “Be Our Guest!”

(Get Stressed!)
I yank out my hair
(Get Stressed!)
There’s a bald spot there
(Get Stressed!)
Scream, and cry, and plea
(Get Stressed!)
I’m in such misery!
(Get Stressed!)
Witness to a crime
(Get Stressed!)
Nervousness Inclined
(Get Stressed!)
I can’t see the Zoo
(Get Stressed!)
Thinking I’ll be lion food!

I’m always so worried
I freak (He freaks) Over little things
My life’s too full of thrills
I need (He needs) To pop chill pills

(I go mad!)
Due to thieving maid
(I rip hair!)
With each failing grade
(Worrier!)
Killer toxic waste
(Gone Mental!)
It’s In My Toothpaste
(I go nuts!)
Every time I bleed
(It’s bloody!)
A shark I will feed
(I fear I)
Can’t get crows to shoo
(I get pecked)
And now I have bird flu!
(What I always do is…)

(Get Stressed!)
Lock myself inside
(Get Stressed!)
That is where I will hide
(Get Stressed!)
Never leaving bed
(Get Stressed!)
Out there I am good as dead

(Attacked by a bear)
Get Stressed!
(If I go out there!)
Get Stressed!
(I might break my knee)
Get Stressed!
(Crap! Turn off that TV!)

Oh man, Oh man, Oh man, Oh man!

(Get Stressed!)
Hunted by the mob
(Get Stressed!)
If I quit my job
(Get Stressed!)
Eat some poisoned stew!
(Get Stressed!)
Really need to get a clue!

(Oh man, Oh man, Oh man)
GET STRESSED!!!!

(Dec 2.0) Absolutely side-splitting, mate! 555 for...wait, what was that? AAAAHH! I'M COVERED IN BEES!
Agrimorfee - December 17, 2007 - Report this comment
(Dec 2) Seems to be more about pantaphobia(sp?), as described by Dr. Lucy in "A Charlie Brown Christmas" (to which Charlie screams, "THAT'S IT!!"). Pretty random, but well done.

(dec2.6) hilarious - a smorgasbord of short detail gags Matty, that would have taken some work to pace - my faves were the Oprah's breast/Be Our Guest couplet and the thieving maid - 555

(DEC 2.6) What a great idea, Matty! Excellent OS for all those concise funny lines...well done! 555
Phil Alexander - January 02, 2008 - Report this comment
Didn't realize how much the OS goes on and on (did the Village People cover this? If not, they should have) - way better than the original lyric, very well-worked and funny, too.

Decathlon...HOLY MOLY...I thought I was a worry wart! =) This made me laugh!

(DEC2) This song is a challenge in DDR, but that said (since it has nothing to do with the song or the parody) Matthias, like my comment, your parody was random and sent me in different directions. You turned it into a list parody, and don't get mad at me, but you know my general opinion of list parodies, but not just that--this wasn't a list song to begin with. . .sorry buddy--seems like you threw this one together, I like your next round MUCH better.
Jeff Reuben - January 02, 2008 - Report this comment
I can't stress too much that this made me laugh. It was a list, but had some funny lines.
Jack Wilson - January 03, 2008 - Report this comment
HILARIOUS!!!! Soundsl ike me at times

DEC- LMAO at seeing Oprah's breast. Very funny and well done, Matty.

This is so weirder than my parodies I sent in 2005

Oprah's breasts...no one deserve that kind of mental scar.
Blaydeman - April 06, 2015 - Report this comment
(Artistry) Oh wow, that was quite an undertaking, kudos! THe song actually made me nervous while I was reading it and I'm not really afraid of any of those things. I will say, I think the OS's structure made it hard for me to completely sink my teeth into it. The lines were so short and staccato and broken up. You could only do jokes tow lines at a time and that kind of makes for a lot of information, but nothing truly in-depth to latch on to. A lot of feverish fun, though! Lots of funniness.
Agrimorfee - April 06, 2015 - Report this comment
I commented back in 2007 for this, and I wasn't as critical as Blaydeman is above, but I agree with his assessment now.
bobpiecheese - April 07, 2015 - Report this comment
(Artistry) Wait, I commented on this one before? Huh. Seems I really enjoyed this back in the day, but now I am sorta leaning towards B-Man's view on this. There's also the fact that the mix of legit stress-enducing things and not-so-legit wasn't pulled off that well, probably due to the short-line nature of the OS. So yeah, still pretty good and all, but 8 years on I can see the flaws I missed back then.
Abbott Skelding - April 07, 2015 - Report this comment
I won't be as critical as others. I think you did what you could with the very short lines, very different and funny at the same time. My problem is that even with such short lines, the pacing wasn't as spot on as it should have been. Nothing dramatically horrible, but definitely noticeable in spots. Overall, a very nice spoof about worrywarts...well done!
